WAUSAU, Wis. – Bernie Sanders’ campaign spokesman Michael Briggs issued the following statement on Sunday on a debate in New York:

“Sen. Sanders has accepted an invitation from NBC News for a Sunday night prime-time debate on April 10. We hope the Clinton campaign also accepts. The April 10 debate date is one of four dates that the Sanders campaign had proposed for a debate with Secretary Clinton before the New York primary election. He is available on April 10, 11, 12 or 13. He looks forward to a debate on any of those days.

“The Clinton campaign disingenuously announced that it had agreed to a debate on another day when it knew very well that Sen. Sanders already had locked in a park permit for a major rally in New York City. Let’s get serious. Let’s get on with debating the candidates’ stands on serious issues affecting New York and the United States.”

And she has agreed to do both the 14th and 15th. Maybe he should accept one of those seeing as HE wanted a debate so bad, and forced her to go against her schedule.

He's holding a huge rally in an iconic location on the 14th. No one wants a morning debate (the 15th).

Well that's a personal problem. Hillary will be in Virginia on the 10th. She has events in New York on the 11th. She'll be in Florida on the 12th. The 13th is her only available date right now, but she might have plans that day too.

She has fundraisers. She's trying to get Democrats elected on down-ballots. You know that thing Bernard has said he doesn't know if he'll do. What I said was that he deserved credit for standing up for gay marriage way before it was popular to do so. I don't think it will be Obama though because honestly he's not rich enough to be in need of tax havens. He's only worth a couple of millions (for now.)

She finally agrees, and then gives him 3 options for the debate. If he doesn't take any of the dates and locations offered, then he gets nothing. Him holding a rally in New York City during the day is a great reason why it should be held that night. If he's going to be in New York City already, then why not debate? Obviously because this debate is being used in order to paint Hillary as unwilling.

YouGov has Sanders 2% more than Hillary though as of the 1st. Whatever it's going to be is going to be close
