Prohibits individual states from recognizing marital status and/or legal benefits from any other unions other than that of a man and a woman.
|
He voted no for that.

Hillary says marriage should be between a man and woman. Bernie votes against an amendment to solidify that sentiment as federal law, but somehow the minilaries, think they are equal on gay rights

Yes. He voting against the bill the bill that prohibits individual states from recognizing marital status and/or legal benefits from any other unions other than that of a man and a woman.
Read it again in your head, but sound out the words slowly this time.

Omfg does it have to be spelt out to y'all? His vote did not stop gay marriage, his vote stopped the prohibition of gay marriage on a federal level

You're confused but okay
edit: that bill had nothing to do with a federal level

The desperation when all your recipes are stale
At the end of the day, his voting record is only pro gays. His public statements may have been "wishy-washy", but there is a difference between saying "I don't think gay marriage could work at this very moment", "states should have the right to choose to marry gays" and Hilary's saying that gay marriage is principally WRONG.
Bernie may have been on the fence, but Hillary was totally against it. And Bernies voting record only protected the gays so be grateful

The lack of effort to deny the receipts though
At the end of the day, he's voted against some basic gay rights as well. He's evolved to be pro-gay, which is amazing, but we can't criticize Hillary without criticizing him too.

I'm pretty sure it does. But that's besides the point.
The point is Bernie voted against the bill that quote on quote, "Prohibits individual states from recognizing marital status and/or legal benefits from any other unions other than that of a man and a woman."
Maybe the double/triple negatives are confusing you. But when you realise, I will accept your admission with grace and will not mock you for it

Also, its tragic how much you gays are rooting for her, considering she thinks you don't deserve basic human rights. You just don't suddenly drastically change your opinion at the age of 50, at 25 maybe.
I hope Bernie wins, and if he doesn't I'm rooting for Trump, cuz **** Fakelary ****ton

You can't be against Hillary because she's fake, yet vote for Trump who prior to 2011 was a pro-choice Democrat. He's the definition of fake.

Your receipts are sensationalist headlines none of which were titled "Bernie was against gay marriage", but I can find many Hillary articles with that headline
Instead of posting headlines, actually post receipts of his voting record. As actions speak louder than words.

Lets be honest... No democratic super delegates will be switching over to Bernie, period. Why would they leave the true democrat to move to a socialist...
This isn't 2008 when we had 2 democratic frontrunners... Plus, Hillary is so far ahead... They're not gonna switch. Sick of hearing Bernie people say that.

Not all politicians across the aisle hate each other outside of politics. Plenty get along "outside of the office." The Clintons did not like several things of the Bushes, but as horrid of a politician as George W. was and is, he's not that bad of a fellow when hanging out. George and Bill get along well and have done joint events in the past to promote unity.
It's hilarious, you act like you don't have any relatives or friends who're hardcore Republicans. I do! We don't see eye-to-eye on numerous things, but we still care for each other and hang out very often. And if you don't, it says a lot about a person who can't agree to disagree, yet still have an amicable relationship.
|
Where did I say All Republicans voters are bad or evil? The GOP as a party, as an establishment is corrupt, evil, obstructive and a disgrace. And actually, I do not.
The picture was more of a joke than anything.
I am more troubled, and you should be too, that Hillary Clinton basically sold her vote for the war in Iraq to her good friend George.
