She's not pretentious, though. Gaga operates on the ideology that everyone and everything is equal. She doesn't place herself above people, she just knows the truth. She knows she is more talented than her contemporaries and even we know that. That's not pretentious, that's fact.
Like Gaga said, is she was a man, people would be calling her confident, not pretentious or arrogant or a bitch.
