I think X factor is a great career choice. People will start seeing Demi as a talented young lady, instead of just another disney girl. She'll be taken more seriously by older generations.

But the ratings for x factor were still pretty high compared to other shows in the same time slot. They had 7-8 millions viewers per week. Depending on the timing of the album or single release coupled with a performance on the show it could possibly get to #1.
