This look was a MESS. She looked like 60 that night

Rihanna is definitely the modern Madonna and I have countless receipts for that. Let me pull them out when I have the time!
I've decided to personally rank some 275 Madonna songs I've gotten up to the Bedtime Stories era and, well.... the attitude I had at the time of the Rate hasn't changed
On our way to see Desperately Seeking Susan in 8th grade. My mother took this photo. We still have our summer rental and I’ve been listening to Madonna’s Immaculate Collection. When I was a local model in Buffalo I lip synched to Borderline in the @seventeen mag’s fall fashion show. The next year I lip synched to Material Girl downtown at the Convention Center for the big department store AM&A’s. I rolled around on Keri Rozanski’s black tar driveway singing Lucky Star on a summer night. (Later a boy on a ski lift asked me “Are you the Chrissy from Nichols who did that?” And I said “No, I’m the other Chrissy” who was on my swim team and was older and legit preppy whereas I clearly was not.) I think my favorites are Get into the Groove and Open Your Heart. “Only when I’m dancing can feel so free” I danced upstate one night this summer. Slowly moving. No jumping up and down. More like stretching and finding my limits and feeling the music. I just want it to be October already and get my blood tests back so I know whether my treatment worked. A friend said: waiting at first is hard and then the every three months thing becomes routine and you don’t worry. When this picture was taken I was already buying the Village Voice at the record store in Buffalo and dreaming of my first New York apartment, which I was sure was going to be an L shaped studio with an alcove for sleeping in the West Village in stead of the two bedroom on Devoe Street in Williamsburg that I shared with a guy friend who never washed his clothes. His dad came to visit and told me I should clean the toilet and I said I never lift the seat plus he can clean as well as I can. we did not clean the toilet all year and we never noticed anything wrong. Madonna have up everything as we were growing up, I remember my mother’s disapproval at the Like A Virgin video on @mtv but she saw everything I saw. I had to ask my daughter to let me listen to her @taylorswift albums, which have a more independent message than Madge had and I like that. I still have a lot of this jewelry, we basically emptied out my mothers jewelry boxes. I’m so grateful she let us do this #mom #****cancer #madonna #madonnawannabee
