Even I like Messi but he was a non factor in this tournament's knockout stages. Germany faced tougher teams and still have better outcome. Tbh in this opening game, they would've won easier if Khedira was there to give Muller or Kroos better opportunities instead of making them passing the balls instead to the team.
Muller was more deserving of the golden ball considering he has better stats than Messi and gave more opportunities for his teammates while driving for goals. Messi choked in this finals, he didn't really force anything and was just lucky his team is actually good at defending.
I'm so upset that this is over whenever I think of the 2014 WC I will think about this thread. Thanks guys for making it even better. See you all around
Yeah I'm a little sad this is over too. I usually don't give two ***** about football but I loved following this WC. LOVED watching the South-American teams like Colombia (I'm stanning for James), Chile, Costa Rica. This will leave a void tbh.
