Ugh I don't even have any water types that can learn Surf I don't have fly and I left my Squirtle in the day care. I need a water type and I don't even know where to look.
You can get the rods in Vermillion (Old), Fuchsia and Route 12 (Super and Good, not sure which way round).
I just walked into a trainer battle with an under levelled Bulbasaur weak to Pidgey (although it doesn't matter thanks to Gust being useless hihi) and a Magikarp. Everything else is dead. Gen 6 has me so unprepared. I legit think the main reason it's hard is the lack of running shoes. I can't be arsed to constantly return to Pokemon centres like I do in new games where it takes seconds so I end up screwed.

The arrow from Bank to S&M was one-way. Something tells me that if S&M is 7th gen, you'll be able to move from XY / RBY / ORAS to bank, and then move from bank to 7th gen, but not backwards.
I was thinking about the games being called Red/Blue/Green/Yellow after the starters and was thinking that it would be a really good change of pace if Sun and Moon are named after the new starters and not the legends.
