A lot of the #1 songs took a while to top, expect Part of Me and Stronger. Sexy And I Know It took a while and was stuck at #2 for 8 weeks, Set Fire To The Rain was on the Hot 100 20 or 21 weeks before it toped. We Are Young was covered by glee and then it had bi polar moments on itunes forever before it finally topped, and the STIUTK seemed to take forever to top the US charts. So i think Call Me Maybe is gonna do this and take a little while untill i tops the chart tbh

Yeah, this is true. The vast majority of songs take 2-3 months before they get to #1. That's why I always hate it when 2 days after a song is released everybody on here calls it a flop just because it didn't reach #1 on iTunes yet (like with We Found Love).
