I feel like Obsessed would have been a great first single. It’s a shame it’s a bonus track. It could have replaced several songs on the record in my opinion.
The na-na-na lyrics might annoy others but I quite enjoy it. The lyrics are a bit odd though. What's going on in that song? She’s driving and suddenly pulls over to text Blake on her “telephone” and decides to not return home. Is she going to stay on the side of the road and just text. If she’s not going home, where’s she going? Perhaps Trader Joe’s. I’ve had those moments of spontaneously wanting to go to Trader Joe’s rather than returning home because it’s just a very blissful place for me. I love their selections of teas! And their fig butter?! To DIE for.
Or maybe she’s possibly texting Blake on her telephone AND making hotel arrangements on Priceline to visit Blake. She’s a great multi-tasker. But the song title—well, I hope she’s not planning anything creepy. Maybe her and Blake are into Candy Crush and she’s obsessed with beating his score.
But in conclusion, it’s a fun song and also promotes awareness of driving/texting dangers.Had this song been a single, it could have potentially saved lives. Who really knows?
