Monsters Among Us, The Edward Mordrake episodes, Pink Cupcakes, Blood Bath, and Orphans are some of the greatest episodes AHS has ever had.
The only Coven episodes I cared about were Bitchcraft (my favorite AHS episode ever), Boy Parts, The Replacements, Head, and Protect The Coven. The rest were mediocre to awful, though Burn Witch Burn and The Dead are passable at best since they have some decent scenes (the chainsaw scene for BWB and Madison's monologue for The Dead.)

Edward Mordrake 1-2, Blood Bath, Tupperware Party Massacre, & Orphans are the best (and only good) Freak Show episodes.
Meanwhile, Go to Hell and the Seven Wonders are the only BAD Coven episodes, even though both of them had good parts, they were **** for the plot and didn't properly resolve the season.
Best episodes per season:
Murder House: Piggy Piggy
Asylum: Spilt Milk
Coven: The Magical Delights of Stevie Nicks
Freak Show: Orphans

I know we are talking about FS but why Split Milk? Nor'easter, The Coat Hanger, and The Name Game are my faves.
The only episode of Asylum I dislike is the first episode and even that wasn't bad.
The true best AHS season.

SPILT MILK was iconic, had some of the best lines and the most dramatic moments, while still having tense & scary moments. The epitome of AHS.

I just can't wait to hear the musical score for Hotel. Mac Quayle did an amazing job on Freak Show, and I'm glad to hear he's coming back again.

Idk what happened in each episode lol
Covens music (background music, etc) was sooooo cheap-sounding and trash.
The music when Delia does the 7 Wonders alone. ew

Coven's score was amazing. At least it was scored for the product rather than just recycling Horror soundtracks like Murder House did.

YES! So glad Queen Emma is returning! Still so pressed Ryan killed off Madison AND Maggie, she better survive this season! And I know it's American Horror Story, but I hope it doesn't become yet another death count competition. Like I understand characters deaths are important to the plot, but I hate it when perfectly good characters get killed off for no reason (Maggie), at least give a purpose to a characters death.

I've said this before, but I really don't get the hate for Freakshow. Sure, certain parts were poorly thought out and it didn't have too much character development, but it also had some of the scariest bits in AHS series. I mean, the finale was pretty shocking and had me on the edge of my seat, the same way Asylum did. Despite Coven being my favorite, both Coven and Murder House had such awful endings. MH was just anti-climactic and predictable at the end, and Coven served some Nickelodeon 1990's sitcom teas.

I don't understand the Coven hate
I honestly think it's the best season.
Coven > Murder House = Asylum > Freak Show
Freak Show is still OK, just not on the same level as the other three.

Didn't read this yet! Interesting.

While Murphy wouldn't reveal anything else about the former couple's new AHS characters, he did hint at the type of story the Lady Gaga-headlined season would follow.
"The one thing that I wrote that I've never gotten over was in the first season of American Horror Story, our second episode was about a home invasion. I really got freaked out, and I had to leave the editing room a couple times," he explained. "I have other fears, but after that, I'm like, 'I'm never going to write about things that I'm freaked out about.'"
But after several seasons that explored the terrifying aspects of asylums, witches, and circuses ("I think it's hilarious that people are afraid of clowns," he quips), Murphy is revisiting what scares him.
"I want to write about something I'm afraid of to see what happens. So Season 5 of Horror Story, I'm back to that home invasion," he said. "I find it very hard, but I feel like maybe I'm working through s---. I've tackled my fears. I can't tell you what they are because then you'll get what it's about, but I went back to that, and I haven't had in a while."
