Gaga has now the ability to ruin everything she touches. Her Zedd songs are "ok", while his album is flawless for example.

She doesn't actually ruin everything she touches it just seems that way because no one is down to support her anymore.
Pop music is successful when people delude themselves into praising it and the artist and people refuse to do that for Gaga now. Thats the only reason The Fame is heralded as a masterpiece, not that it isn't a good pop record but come on, people act like that was the last time she was supposedly innovative when what exactly is so much more innovative musically about it than this one? Nothing. ARTPOP is a solid pop record with obvious potential hits, Do What U Want should be at the very least a top 3 single but its not and why? Because its by Lady Gaga. (And btw G.U.Y. is way better than Clarity. Zedd's solo album is wack.)
It didn't really matter much what Gaga did or released because at the end of they day no one wanted to like her. She didn't fall hard enough with Born This Way because it was still a top selling album that garnered multiple Top 10 singles. This era, the media and the public have made a consorted effort to put a cap on Gaga's career and popularity and the fans that don't use independent thought buy into it and bash her themselves. Further solidifying the false notion that shes not good enough anymore.
What I will say negatively about her this era is not the quality of the music (which is better than Born This Way from pop music standards), but the fact that shes not very interesting NOT because shes not talented and not because shes over but because I don't feel like she took the right approach in marketing this record. Its partially too retrospective i.e. that VMA performance where it was entirely composed of "old gaga". I was just like really? You're referencing yourself like that already? Just move forward with something new. Imo she seems to have been greatly affected by her backlash and let that steer the creative direction of this record which wasn't a great angle.
What I wish for her next record/era or if she ever releases a second part to this album or an EP or whatever (which she won't but I digress) is that she drop the retrospection, pare down the over explanations of her work, stop looking so arts and crafts, and release music thats not just dance-pop but also listenable when just sitting in the car driving home on a late night. Thats not asking her to be a different artist, its just asking for something chill for once. Something focused. Whats cool about pop music right now, even though I dislike just about every mainstream artist thats currently popular, is that styles are varied and you can be interesting without being over the top. Gaga didn't take advantage of that. I think she should.
