Mariah doesn't have the drive she once had. In the past her voice is what helped her make those albums and get her fame.At this point in her life she's a mother, has all the money anyone could dream of, and is no longer that Hungry 20 something year old girl. She could meet with an opera vocal coach and through intense training she could regain her voice (I think she could get Rainbow era vocals back). However i doubt her voice will ever sound as it did in 1996 and prior no matter what training she received.
She still can sing but ofcourse Nodules are hard to sing through and can be extremely painful. It's a miracle she learned how to sing through them
I've always thought that Mariah works best when she's fighting from the bottom up. She may not have all of the drive (or voice) of the 90s, but I do believe she's more focused this time around. I think a lot of the last era was her mistrusting everyone, maybe even herself. You can tell, already, that she's a bit more focused and rejuvenated.
We'll see for sure tomorrow during interviews whether or not she's prepared to fight like never before.
The thing I've always wondered with Mariah's voice & nodules is that if she's always in pain when she's singing?!
Mariah always has this constant strain look on her face when singing live or going for certain notes
& is it the pain of belting through her nodules or does it just happen?
