Bjork has removed her nodules too and she still sounds great
She had nodules removed and unfortunately something went wrong which damaged her voice. She sued the doctors and settled out of court. This was in 1997 so I guess with Mariah being so huge at the time she must have heard of it and thought hell to the **** no.

Yea, I heard that too. But removing them is risking more than the whistle register. Of course optimism is best, but she could lose her voice completely. And imo, she's a soprano. If she were to go through the surgery and it is successful, I think she could get the high notes back. Maybe not the super high stuff (E7-whatever her real max is), but still high notes. She would have to be very focused and determined to do so. And the notes would be connected with the rest of her full voice.
I seriously think Céline is some kind of crazy but she is always really graceful and it seems like she always means what she says. So, yay, go, Céline dahhlin!
