It's because two artists are played in one hour, and there's like four different stages. So the play live one on a different stage and play the main one like Jessie J later which was recored a few hours ago.

Oh Okay. So 2 hours then right? Its 8:00 PM in the UK If I'm not mistaken. Only 3 PM here.
Oh wait if you've got a live stream then it starts in just over 20 minutes. Think I've worked it out, they play ours an hour later as on twitter it shows Lana Del Rey playing but here it's the next hour.
In short -
If your watching a live stream then Rihanna is in 23 minutes
If your watching BBC3 or a STREAM TO BBC3 then she starts at 10:00pm
