Not even joking when i say this is my favorite song of the year. The lyrics are so inspiring and they make me feel strong! The melody is like an anthem and the bridge gave me chills all over my body. Her vocals are amazing and i'm just crying listening to this because it's exactly what i needed to hear. Just exactly what i needed. I'm so proud of Katy, so so so proud!
I think it's safe to say this is my instant favorite release of the year.
I like it, it's a good empowerment song. But kinda underwhelming, I was expecting more from Katy. The lyrics and production are basic. I wanted a 'Stay/Someone Like You' from her.
After a few listens, it's definitely growing on me though.
Gets better with every ****ing listen LAWD. I was a bit shocked when I heard it first time because it sounds so different to anything I'm used to Katy singing but I love it omg. The chorus ****ing SLAYS.
The chorus is very strong. Katy brought it and will be slaying radio. Granted the verses/bridge are pretty weak. Sounds like she had the killer chorus and struggled to fill in the rest of the song around it. Her vocals also sound good at the end. Hopefully her live performances can be up to par with the live recording.
