i cant put none of them in order lol
i LOVE/Obsessed with Cheer Up, Why So Lonely, & I Like That (honorable mention to 'All Mine', love it as well just gotta play it more so its stuck in my head for weeks lol)
i like Navillera a bit more now, but there's alot more album tracks on 'LOL' that shine brighter
CU like most of BEP songs are very dense/complex tonal, rhythmic, production wise.
Without getting too much into detail is a copy/paste of what i said earlier about the song
"most of the song is in C# major and has a extensive use of modal mixture (in this case use of the parallel minor C# minor in a C# major context which then add a flat 3rd, a flat 6th and a flat 7th) which explains the use of the flat third and flat seventh during 0:56 to 1:07 (mostly with the borrowed chords from the parallel minor iv and bIII) and of course what explains the recurring flat 6th which makes the song what it is
there is something about CU that makes it very unique (please if you know a kpop song that sound like CU, send it), BEP knows how to create very special ambiance/atmosphere (like in LOA too).
Also one thing that made it popular is how it changes through the song from the very spacious instrumental in the verse which allow their rap/singing to shine across to the dancehall ish beat in the prechorus with a very interesting chord progression using borrowed chords that leads to a liquid Drum and bass influenced chorus with a very catchy tune mainly achieved through a downward stepwise motion (8765 8765 87655) at the beginning, response in the middle (676777 7657) and use of modal mixture toward the end (33344b6b6 888b689)
Production wise there are so many layers and variations that keep the song interesting, the only thing basic in this song are the lyrics but tbh i don't care because:
1. I don't speak Korean
2. This a gg song so not expecting anything
3. This a fun song so Cheer up!
