Well maybe there's a God above
But all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outrdrew yaaa
It's not a cry that you hear at night
It's not SOMEONE who's seen the light
It's a COOOOOOLD and it's a BROKEEEEEEN HALELLUJAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH
Welcome Tribe Strujala to the 9th Tribal Council of the season. Bitchcraft has quit the game but no elimination is complete without a good old torch blowout.
8th castaway eliminated from Survivor: ATRL Edition (Season 5) is...
Bitchcraft
Bitchcraft, you have decided to leave the game for whatever reason. You were actually leaving the game regardless based off the votes I did have so nothing is really changed. No one is being saved by your exit this Tribal Council. You had some good entries and you had some bad entries this season like a lot of other players. Thanks for signing up and playing for the time being. I just wish you weren't leaving on a bad note since you would have been heading over to Redemption Island anyway. See you around!

Previously on Survivor: ATRL Edition (Season 5), the 16 remaining castaways were rearranged into new tribes helping some out while hurting other alliances. Round 7 had the castaways representing the archetype of water through song. Overall, most took a dip in scores while some grasped onto the concept very well. In the end the reareanged Tribe Mawimba took the win while Tribe Dalgani placed second sending Tribe Strujala to Tribal Council for the first time as a new tribe. Meanwhile, on Redemption Island, genetic fail won his second duel sending Capital B home n the process. Before Tribal Council, Bitchcraft quit the game becoming the eighth castaway to exit the game. What will happen this episode on Survivor: ATRL Edition?
Welcome castaways to Round 8 of Survivor: ATRL Edition (Season 5)! Turns out Rihanna isn't ready to drop the album just yet so we'll just have to move on with my own version of #R8...
The theme for Round 8 is...
Friends No More ~Cause baby now we got bad blood~
We are returning to the standard Survivor-type themes this round focusing on broken friendships. This round, your song should lyrically represent a diss to a former friend that did your artist wrong. Your artist should be taking a jab at their friend turned enemy in the lyrics of the song. The track should be able to be perceived and interpreted as friendly by the panel so too many sappy lyrics about being heart-broken will point towards a romantic betrayal rather than a friendly one. We should be able to distinguish between the two when we listen to your track. Basically, I shouldn't see any "I thought you were the one!!!" type lyrics in the song.
What To Do:
As always. PM the artist and title of the song you are submitting. No explanation included.
16 of you remain in the game so back-up choices are more trivial at this point. For the two of you on Redemption Island, you will be allowed to submit a song for the duel once the 16 others have submitted. I'll let you know when that is.
Take Into Consideration:
The panel will judge the audio/lyrics of the track you submit. Music videos will not increase or decrease your score as some music video plots differ from a song's true meaning.
The theme is what is important here. You will not receive a low score because you sent in a song one of the judges does not like. Taste will most likely only be the determinate in whether you receive for example a 8.5 or 9.
The song you choose should display the meaning upfront. An interview with your artist clarifying the meaning of the song will not be taken into consideration.
Judging Scale (May Vary By Judge):
9/10 - Great entry. Track displays the theme given head on.
8 - Good entry. Displays theme well but not as well as others.
7 - Okay entry. Fits decently but is missing something overall.
6 - Somewhat tackles the theme but falls flat.
5 - Track mentions theme but is otherwise off-base.
3/4 - Song does not hit the theme given.
1/2 - Song has to do with a completely different subject than the theme.
The example for this round is "Bad Blood" by Taylor Swift feat. Kendrick Lamar off her fifth album '1989'. Lyrically, the track discusses a former friend that backstabbed Taylor. Now Taylor is on the hunt claiming the two have problems that are not being solved anytime soon while Kendrick helps assist her in the dissing. There is the whole Katy Perry tabloid story surrounding the track but beyond that, you can tell it's a friendly track based off the lyrics that pertain to being backstabbed rather than heatbroken over an ex.
Quote:
'Cause, baby, now we got bad blood
You know it used to be mad love
So take a look what you've done
'Cause, baby, now we got bad blood
Now we got problems
And I don't think we can solve them
You made a really deep cut
And, baby, now we got bad blood
The deadline for this round is June 20th at 4:00 PM PST Timezone.
Everybody say
I wanna be the one you love
I wanna be (sent from heaven)
Everybody say I wanna be the one you trust
I wanna be (sent from heaven)
Everybody say I wanna be the one you need
I wanna be (sent from heaven)
Everybody say I wanna be the one who sent from heaven
