It's comical because last time Roar and Applause were actually huge hits competing for number one on the hot 100 while these to are both tragic flops fighting outside the top 40.

For what it was, Rise didn't do too bad. Not every song needs to be a smash hit. It put her name back out there musically a few months before her actual lead single. This is gaga's actual lead single. This is truly tragic. If Katy is out of Top 10 even 5-6 weeks after her lead singles premiers it will be tragic for her standard.

a buzz single which btw she clarified the minute the song dropped on itunes that it's not her lead unlike other girls who call their singles a Buzz single when it flops. vs. a lead single

Yeah I know that Rise didn't do as bad as everyone makes it out as. It's just hilarious to me how fan bases can find any possible way to pin singles against each other even when they are both out of the top 40.
