Beyonce's career isn't based on hit singles.
To be fair, neither is Gaga's but it's not really the single underperforming (and yes it's underperformed, it's only stabilized because of shitloads of promo) it's the fact that what she built her career on (shock value, costumes/gimmicks, etc) isn't really doing much for her anymore and isn't viewed in that positive of a light with GP. Of course she'll still get attention and she's obviously still a big name in the industry but for how long really? There's just no real public interest in her anymore. How many threads you get on ATRL doesn't count.
She can turn it around though but I doubt ARTPOP will do it.
