The image of her as a blonde is so engrained in the public consciousness that stepping out as a brunette would have been one way to do it. Instead of that ****** egg at the Grammys, imagine the splash she could have made in a 2010 VMA-level amazing outfit and brown hair. And to get tongues wagging a little more, she could have walked the red carpet holding hands w/ Formichetti (he's pretty good looking and no one outside of her fanbase knows who he is).

Another way to 'shock' people and make them talk again more about her could be wearing a normal outfit. We're so used to weird clothes and to this basic Mugler that seeing Gaga with a gown or a long dress or even with a pair of jeans could help. I mean, after 'The Fame' style it's difficult to find another one able to have the same effect...especially if she keeps on wearing leather jackets/thights.
