I've argued with you about sovereignty before for this reason. This is not a left-wing Brexit. It is in all but name a vote for a Boris-led hardcore Tory government with concessions to UKIP, with no EU power-sharing or oversight.

3. We have already pissed off the EU big time with our demands and threats. We think we're the powerhouse of Europe, and can hold it to ransom. But really we're a tiny island. If people have to pay more for their BMWs, they will.

So you already identified austerity as a cause for the downward effect on wages and the pressure on public services. Why add to the already existing pressure by continuing to keep our doors open to 500million EU citizens?? Why ADD to the existing problem and add more pressure?? Why not vote to leave and CONTROL immigration so theres less extra pressure on wages and public services, which is as you said, is partly caused by austerity?

1. Our own government could have done a much better job than Brussels, which has to take the interests of 28 countries into account, rather than just one. That is the fundamental problem with the EU. As power becomes more concentrated in Brussels, individual countries lose out as they can no longer set their own regulations that allow their own industries to prosper - there are compromises all over the shop and it's not working.

2. There will come a point where we can no longer blame the government. Right now, I agree that the government can be doing much better. But we do not have an open pool of resources, as you say we are a tiny island. Right now we can not plan ahead for our public services because we simply do not know how many people we have to plan for. We can simply not continue with free movement. Our population as it stands right now might be just about sustainable but what about in a decade or two? The pressure will be way too much. There is no sign of net migration slowing down.

3. So if we leave, the rest of the EU can continue with their vanity project that we have been obstructing and we can both negotiate a trade deal like civilised partners. There doesn't have to be any hostility.

Wages have actually increased, and the unemployment rate is lower.

Migrants have taken roles in the NHS, Education, Science, Engineering, and even unskilled jobs that British won't do.

Migrants from the EU contributed £20 billion to our economy from 2001-2011.

Where's the evidence to the claims that 5 other countries are due to join the EU.

I've seen none, and I don't expect to by 2020, which is the claim made by Leave.

It's on record that Turkey, the main concern, is nowhere near to meeting the criteria. They've completed 1 document.

Other than an argument centered on immigrants, what else does the Leave side offer anyone? I've struggled to find it.

Throughout the debates, I've also struggled to hear it. Chance after chance and no questions have been answered.
