The Suburbs was better. I'm willing to hear counter-arguments, though.

The thing about A$AP (and the reason he missed out on my top 10) is that the album is really more of a reflection of how great the talent surrounding A$AP was than A$AP himself. And make no mistake, the talent involved with that album is incredible. If I were to judge it primarily based on A$AP's work, though, it falls just a bit short.

This album is a complete mess.

For me, The Suburbs had HIGH highs, but had lots of filler. Reflektor is longer than The Suburbs but feels much shorter. Yeah that's cause it has less tracks but still.


And I haven't heard Like Clockwork It's not that I don't like it at least.

50. David Bowie - Dirty Boys

Love this song! Love the sax, David Bowie's comeback wasn't perfect but this track was strong.

49. Mutya Keisha Siobhan - Flatline

Their debut single from some unannounced album or something (?). I like it a lot, it takes the magic of One Touch and brings it to 2013 without sounding like a plea for relevance or a hit.

48. Lily Allen - Hard Out Here

Ignore the questionable music video, this song is actually pretty cool. Granted, it's sort of a parody of a bad pop song but that's what makes it so enjoyable is that it revels in stupidity so much that it comes full circle. Sorta like a lot of the Black Eyed Peas songs.

47. Kanye West - New Slaves

Lovely song with a really menacing beat. I love Kanye's honest on the song, and the outro part threw me off at first, but now it feels like a sweet release from hell.

46. Justin Timberlake - Let the Groove Get In

Justin's music this year burned out quickly, let's be honest. This song is very good though and one of Timbaland's best this year. Great touches of his older material without feeling like a boring attempt at recreation. Plus the song doesn't seem unnecessarily long!
