Damn, this is way too polarizing to have been a single. IDK why they ever thought to release it to begin with. As much as DWUW is not my favorite, it definitely has more mass appeal and I feel like it will do well as a single. But legit, Applause sounds better than this.

I personally prefer Venus over Do What U Want but I can see why they picked DWUW as the next single
And tbh both are singles imo, both are getting videos, but only one will be played on radio (which I don't care about cuz I never listen to radio)

I think Venus could SMASH in Europe, I keep reading how it reminds people of ABBA and 80's euro-pop. I wish she released it here, the snippet totally slays me and I don't want it to become an overlooked gem

DWUW is so safe! I get that's what Gaga need at this point of her career but I don't think that song would keep me (or most fans) interested for months to come.

I totally understand why the record company chose DWUW as a single. It's the safest single she probably has ever releaed and I HATE that. If I wanted safe i'd stand for others.

Venus is different, catchy chorus. I really hope they push it if it gets received well by the public.
