She might have something to do during that time. But it's whatever, I'm sure Katy's not pressed . She could find someone else a little bit bigger than Lorde easily.
She never intended to smash? She didnt even send her song to the radio.
No, her agent did it for her.
This is why I don't like about her (both she and her stans attempt to portray her as a genuine struggling musician (nothing is further from the truth - nothing is more fake than that. Lorde is a teen with a fat Universal contract.
And last time I checked that is the world's largest music label.

I certainly don't do that
I know damn well that Lorde is a pure pop artist. They are trying to market as an "indie" girl to make her marketable since the "I discovered this artist" trend is really in right now. I still love her regardless since she has talent.
Although you're wrong about the radio adds. Royals picked up before there was an add date, and her label didn't add it to pop right away intentionally. They wanted her to be viewed as an "organic indie" artist and create hype solely online. Check out the Wall Street Journal interview with her label.

No. Her agent sent the song to Alternative. Pop picked it up. Trust me, Lorde and her agent both didn't expect someone like her to become big on pop radio.
& she's been signed since she was 12, she just now dropped an ep in March at age 16.
Don't get why some people find this rude or offensive. Would they prefer it if she did open for Katy, only to embarrass and out-perform her at her own show?
Kiiiiiiiiii, plus she wasn't even rude. She answered a question when asked.
Why are some of you so upset? Callinger b***hy, pretentious and just doing alot. If she does not feel like touring with Katy is the direction for her than accept that and move on. She answered the question with class and kept it moving.
at a snippet having this much attention. People are so transparently upset at a new singer rejecting an established pop star - as if you all care about her career as much as you do the status quo.
