They don't need to do all that. It'll just front load their sales severely. R*'s games tend to perform off name, acclaim and word of mouth. Prime example is Red Dead Redemption.

That's true. Hence why they dont do it. They perform so well off of word of mouth and controversy though. EVERY GTA game has controversy and it just ups the sales. I bet this controversy is gonna be animal abuse from PETA (even though COD had it). Id like for them to break the COD record but we'll see. GTA IV broke the record back then whatever it was.

It's pathetic how well those games sell they're like the Beats of video games.

Regardless, I'm sure GTA V will slay anyway. Surely it could pull numbers greater than GTA IV, right? This game is on the top of every site's most anticipated list.

Rasta, do you think the graphics will use the entire capabilities of the two home consoles? Naughty Dog stated UC3 pushed the PS3 to it's limits and the makers of Halo said the same for Xbox. I can only imagine Rockstar would follow suit.

Most likely. The map is huge as **** and they have to fit in all of that storyline and the radio and the largest car selection in GTA history. Along with the largest gun selection. Rockstar said it'd push the consoles to their max.
