I can't believe "Who's Bed Have Your Boots Been Under" is out. Late, I know. But still. I never can say goodbye. At least "I'm Outta Here" is still in it.

"I'm Outta Here!" was the fourth single on The Woman in Me and the second highest-ranking song from that album in this rate. I really wanted to give this one a 10, but I gave myself a limit and this one just barely missed the cut. The song is about how Shania will not participate in one-night stands (she's such a classy broad), stating that if her male companion is not in it for love, then she is outta here! Pretty simple concept, right? That's why I love Ms. Twain. The only problem I have with this song is that it takes SO long to get to the chorus - the first chorus of the song doesn't even finish until the two minute mark! But maybe that's the point. The chorus is so good that she's going to make us wait a while for it, like how women make men wait a while in a relationship before they have sex. The song peaked at #1 on US Country and it was also Shania's first hit in Australia, reaching #5 there.
Look madonnas, you weren't the low score! "From This Moment On" was a strong contender for #1 throughout the first week of submissions. The first six participants gave it a 10, but it didn't receive many more after that, so it ends up at #6. Sure, this song is a cheesy love-fest and sorta submissive for Shania ("I live only for your happiness", seriously Shania?), but it's hard to not get caught up in the emotion of the last chorus FROOOOOOOM THIIIIIIIIIS MO-MENT. This song is absolutely not country in the slightest. It's purely a rock power ballad. I really don't like the duet version with Bryan White. It's so unnecessary because Shania is great on her own. The song is Shania's second highest-charting song on the Hot 100, reaching #4. It actually did better on the Hot 100 than US Country, where it reached #6. It also reached the Top 10 in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. The video features Shania in an Indian-inspired outfit with a bindi. Most importantly, this song will be played at weddings for the rest of human existence.
And with this, Up! is out. I would say Top 5 is a really good finish for "I'm Gonna Getcha Good", the first single from Up! It's kinda reductive, isn't it? It sounds very similar to the stuff on Come on Over. Anyways, the folks in Europe just couldn't get enough of this song. It reached Top 10 in Romania, Norway, UK, Hungary, Denmark, Ireland, Sweden, Spain, and Switzerland, so this was one of Shania's biggest international hits ever! It was also #1 in Canada and #7 on US country. I use to dislike this song simply because of the video. I get how they wanted to be futuristic and do something unusual in country music, but the graphics are so cheesy. Maybe that was "cutting edge" technology for 2002, but I was not feeling it But I eventually came around and realized a video is not a reason to hate a song that has such a great melody and contains the lyrics, "You're a fine piece of real estate and I'm gonna get me some land."
