Second set, and this one is a diverse one. Rap music was exceptional this year,
'POWER' by Kanye West got me excited for the release of his new album, it was different and the moving painting video got me puzzled.
'Got Your Back' had a nice hook provided by the controversial Keri Hilson, while Nicki Minaj once again stole the spotlight as a feature in
'Hello Good Morning'. Underrated talent, Janelle Monae delivered a beautiful and emotional performance with
'Cold War'; the same can be said about Ciara's
Speechless, who right now falls under the same "underrated" category, I almost forgot what an excellent job Ci does with her ballads. Two of the most popular R&B acts at the moment, make their first appearances this year, Usher with the dance-pop smash
'DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love', and Trey Songz with the catchy
'I Invented Sex'. New talent,
Sky Ferreira, released her debut single this year, an addictive and fresh electronic tune;
One was stuck in my head for almost two weeks. Finally, this set comes to an end with the beautifully written
'King Of Anything', listening to this right now makes me regret placing it so low.
