It is looking like a "fad" like event but I genuinely don't think this game is going to end like that. I imagine that in 1-2 months the hype will die down; however, there will still be hardcore pokemon trainers out there.
Also, the release of trading and battling will breathe life into the game. Not to mention that there's only one gen out at the moment. You best believe I want a damn Arceus, and that whenever that gets released, I'll be hooked on the game once more.

I went out to town to finally try it out with my friends and we spoke to a few guys by the fountain (which is a gym) and repeatedly taking it over from each other. Never experienced anything like it.
I've read that once you collect eggs you need to walk for a few miles to make them hatch and you can find eggs of different sizes at the Pokestops? I can't wait to try this out tomorrow!! I only collected a few pokemons so far but haven't come across any eggs or other collectibles.
I don't understand the pokeballs though. I keep throwing a bunch of pokeballs at the pokemon but the majority of them miss. How to you throw them into the green circle?

try to aim a bit higher as if you were to throw it over the pokemon. they usually fall down on them and that's how you get them.
