I'm rewatching them in Japanese because the original OST >>>>
I can't stand the English dub.
God, now I remember that Tamers was the darkest one, the plot is really amazing.
I'm at episode 22 and slayed.
In Frontier I'm at 23. It's the first time I watch it, but to be honest, Takuya and Tomoki >>>>>>>>
You have no partners, except Neemon and the other trash. Bokomon? Whatever, useless AND Ugly. At least Calumon was cute and the LIGHT of Digivolution. The ugly trash had a book and the long trash had retardation.
And then you only focus on the basics (Takuya and Koji) and the rest are just collecting dust after the first half.
Not even Fusion Spirit Digivolution? GIRL BYE.
I wanted to see Tomoki get his Daipenmon digivolution.
You're telling me it's not a ****ing sin they WASTED pretty much all the characters (including the introduction of the wielders of the Spirits of Water/Wood/Steel/Earth chosen by Ophanimon which showed up in two episodes and were shipped back to earth in GranLocomon...) to focus on Takuya and Kouji?
I liked Frontier, tbh. If I had to choose one that I didn't like, it would be Tamers. I just couldn't get into it. I hated the lead. I hated his Digimon. He was on too much and I could not deal with it.
Girl I won't get into that these are ten year olds
I said cute as in likable.
By the way, there was ever an explanation on why the 8 erabareshi kodomo-tachi were... well.. kids? why did the choose kids to save their world, why not to choose adults????
And your not the only one to say this. I will say that I liked it towards the end where the slow pace of the begin was made up for with the final set of episodes. I will also say that I love that they took the time out to build an actual connection Digimon to Human. In adventure 1 and 2, they just was like "I'm your Digimon and we are suppose to be together", which is a mess.
I have to watch Frontier over again just to make sure if it was because my small ass self wanted the action now.
By the way, there was ever an explanation on why the 8 erabareshi konomo-tachi were... well.. kids? why did the choose kids to save their world, why not to choose adults????
The main thing is the purity of soul and innocence a child has.
It carries the power to grow and bestow the light of their particular crest for their Digimon to evolve.
The crest varies in each adaptation (they gave them names in Adventure/02 like Courage, Friendship, Reliability) and they gave them elements in Frontier (Fire/Water/Darkness), in some is nonexistant but it's implied (like Tamers or DATS).
In Fuzord 06/07 they aren't chosen but basically happen to encounter the Digiworld and become generals because humans carry the power to help Digimon Digivolve and in these series, help them with their wars.
Adults can be easily corrupt, and corruption is what VIRUS Digimon are in the Digiworld so it makes sense for children to be the source of Digivolution power.

You're right, if I recall correctly someone mentioned something like this in 02.
And yeah, the crest could only shine with true pure feelings, those that only kids have.
Anyway, now that I'm re-watching I'm like, hell, poor kids, 10 years old and being always in danger? Also, I cannot picture any 10 years old I know doing all of those dangerous things. They would die even against a Numemon.
