When white Ukranians were rioting, were they concerned with stereotypes?
When white Bosnians were rioting, were they concerned with stereotypes?
When white Romanians were rioting, were they concerned with stereotypes?
When white Swedish were rioting, were they concerned with stereotypes?
When white Irishmen were rioting, were they concerned with stereotypes?
When White Americans were rioting because they lost a hockey match, not a loss a life, not a murder, not police brutality, but because they were defeated in a game of catch the biscuit... were they concerned with stereotypes?
So CaptainMusic, since you're so "real" and 100, tell me: Why African Americans should be concerned with stereotypes?
I'll wait.

They should be concerned with stereotypes because while Police would've most likely still continued stereotyping either way, it still gives a bad image to innocent black people who have nothing to do with this mess. All this destruction is doing is giving racists even more ammunition and absolutely nothing to help the cause they're supposed to be fighting for.

Where have you been sis? White people BEEN had ammunition before any kind of riot. White people BEEN creating propaganda, depicting African Americans as violent, savages from the age of paper print. Long before there was any kind of disproportionate representation in prison population and/or crime. White people have never needed a justification, this is simply what they do. What you are saying is that black people should be held to a different standard from everyone else. But CaptainMusic, what you fail to understand is that if whites are incapable of treating African Americans as individuals, then that is their own damn problem, and it has nothing to do with us. Sit down.

And tell me, do you even know what they are fighting for? Because I don't think you do. Lemme help you out. They are fighting for justice, and they are fighting against their oppressors. Every freedom you can think of, was written in blood, and every civil dispute between a tyrannical state and it's people were never resolved with clean hands. A quick history lesson: French Revolution - Violence, American Revolution - Violence, Civil Rights Act - Violence. Clearly white people only know one language. NAAPC BEEN talking logic since the 60s, and we are yet to get a legitimate response. So don't shame black people for communicating in the only way white people seemingly understand.

I'm aware of all of that and of course it would be ideal if people would look at us as individuals but sadly that's not how the world is, so in the end of the day this still stands:

There's no justifying of this kind of behaviour and if you can't see that, that's your problem.

"That is how the world is" for white people tho. Let's talk about that. Let's fix that. As for the rest, read the post above.

@ you thinking even half of these rioters give a **** about any of that. Most of them are out there simply to steal and be the thugs they are.
@ you thinking this is going to help white people understand.
I mean really, this is the ONLY way they can get their point across? A peaceful protest would do way more good than destroying people's properties, some of who may even be black themselves.

There were thousand of people engaging in peaceful protests for DAYS before the riots started and not a single story on CNN. Spare me.

There is still no reason for rioting, period.
I've grown tired of this debate. Anyone who defends this is delusional as hell, goodbye.

As I've already said, black people have been trying to get their point across civilly for decades and to no avail. Rioting is the last resort and as MLK said, "rioting is the voice of the unheard" and evidently white people are NOT listening. Just look at how committed and united the hands up don't shoot protests were from NYC to Boston to LA. Peaceful protest. But these officers did not think twice when battering Freddie Grey to death. FOH with this we are the world, passive, all of is love mumbo jumbo. If white people will not listen, they will feel.

There will be opportunists in the face of every crisis. Get over it and look at the bigger picture. Whether it's protesting, rioting or looting, all of the above combined is creating a hostile environment for all parties involved (even white people). And sooner or later everyone will want a direct course of action to prevent a repeat performance of this chaos.

I'm obviously not talking about the average Joe. I don't think you comprehend how politics works, son. United contempt for government is a very threatening position to be against for the ruling class, eventually the state or federal government will have to intervene if this continues. Just as they did with the Civil Rights Act after the Birmingham Riots. Look it up. You are very ill-informed on world history. And until you pick up an encyclopaedia, you're not finna want to do this with me. Because I read you yesterday, I read you today and I'll read you tomorrow. I will no longer tolerate your shoe shining antics. You have been warned.

I find it funny that people who are not from Baltimore, never been here, don't understand the lifestyle of living here try to preach about us.
What happened was truly tragic and I'm the first one to agree with it. My grandmother's home was burned down and my close friend's business was looted and destroyed. Why? For no reason! The people of Baltimore are angry but don't try to lump all of us into a group that a SMALL portion of people fit into.
Lemme school you really quickly.
1) The "riots" were not even actual "riots" they were severely condensed acts of violence in a SMALL portion of the city. Like literally a 3 block radius. Then another on the other side of town. Majority of the city if you didn't watch it on the news or social media you couldn't even tell rioting was occurring.
2) MOST of the city was against what happened and actually tried to stop the looters. You're focused on the negatives but did you see the 100s of people who came out to help clean up? Did you see my old co-worker organize a last minute pep rally that brought together all of the local marching bands and they did an impromptu rally to showcase the true CHARM in "charm city"? Did you see the 100s of people that even AFTER the "riots" were still peacefully protesting and even the guy who went to my school who DRAGGED Fox and Geraldo Rivera?
DON'T try and label every a thug or this city is under siege and hopeless. Stay where you are because we don't need you here.

Its not though
Cities with the highest Murder rate: Baltimore #13
Cities with the highest robbery rate: Baltimore: Not in the Top 20
Cities with the highest HIV rate: Baltimore: #6
Cities with the highest rape rate: Baltimore Not in the Top 20

You guys aren't from here. You all are only seeing a few small parts of the city. Baltimore City is much larger than what's being depicted on the news.

Why are you even defending this city? This is the shittiest city to live in. I'm traveling to live in China for a year just to get away from this **** hole. Nothing is good about living here.

Well did you see the study where Baltimore is one of the poorest cities with one of the highest tax and unemployment rates? Because you always need 1-2 years of ****ing experience to do some **** job that involves washing dishes, etc. Hell, you damn near need an associates degree to be even considered for a sales associate position sometimes. It's nothing good about being here.

I'm sorry you had a horrible experience but I didn't growing up here.
I was top of my class in elementary, middle and high school. I went to one of the top public schools here and because of the education I received HERE I am the person that I am. No Baltimore is not perfect but don't act like every city doesn't have ****** situations. It's what you make of the situation you're placed in if you wanted an easier life you should be mad at your mom for not marrying a rich man living in an upscale neighborhood in another state.

That's anywhere not just Baltimore that's the way the job market is in most of America (the bolded part)
I've been working, interning, and volunteering since I was 15 and am about to graduate with honors and I have a state job in my major waiting for me lol. So it's all in what YOU do.
Mind you I'm the first person in my family to attend college so I was doing it on my own with no prior knowledge or help. So no I don't feel bad for u or others like u.
And sis Baltimore isn't even in the top 25 cities with the highest unemployment rate
http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/...ment/24366329/
And tax is a STATE thing not local. So you can't blame the tax rate here on Baltimore it's Maryland and Maryland has some of the richest counties in the country so no it's not surprising that the taxes are high here

#13, #6 and top 50 (for the others) is pretty close to the top out of a country of hundreds of cities

What the hell does that have to do with anything? Lol. Me not liking Baltimore does not mean I'm not satisfied with my education, etc. and I damn sure don't have to be self absorbed and brag about it.(No pun intended). I'm talking about this city, not someone's high school story. You can strive to get a good education anywhere here in U.S. It doesn't matter how bad the state or city is... But, Baltimore in general is a horrible city to live in. I don't feel safe here at all. Property taxes are out of this world and to me, it doesn't have much of any good jobs to offer. I enjoyed living in other parts of Maryland like Hagerstown, but this city is ****. Nothing you can say will change that for me. I cannot wait to leave. There is no room for growth or opportunities here. This city does nothing, but train you on how to make a quick departure for another city. Rich and Baltimore should never be in the same sentence.

So, let's let the pro-looters tell us how this made a change since they think the riots were justified and should be condoned.
Like I said, innocent people end up paying the price. I don't want to here **** about an insurance either because it should NEVER have come to that. No one should lose their home/business they've built up/owned for years just someone could get some free damn Mike N Ikes. FOH.
