I was with you with your comments earlier because as a religion, that's they're choice whether or not to perform those rites.
But see: Christianity is a religion of LOVE and ACCEPTANCE. Thou shalt not judge and 'separated brethren' is pretty inflammatory.
This is why I refuse to go through confirmation. I attend the cathedral for mass, which is very pro-gay btw, and love the congregation; but to become a member of the general population of Catholics? No. No way. Not when other denominations that believe in Jesus Christ are 'separated brethren.'
