We didn't do it and it's not the present. I honestly treat people equally. And I expect other people to treat me equally as well. Of course that won't always be the case, but that's okay.
It happens to everyone. Just stick to yourself and be the best person you possibly could be. I believe everyone can achieve whatever they want, independent of gender, race and sexuality. There are plenty examples for all.

I really dislike when a white person says I wasn't a slave owner so it's not my fault. Yes it is. Why?
because not understanding what happened in the past makes this ignorance trickle down. People act the way they do because of deep rooted beliefs in society. The ideology of black ppl being beneath whites is deep-rooted in American society. So regardless if you're a white person who's ancestors were slave masters or your ancestors moved to America after that, you still reap the affects of deep rooted thoughts of black people being below whites.
is that your fault? No its the society that raised you
When you have kids and the next generation comes in will it be your fault? Yes because you did nothing to help stop those deep rooted ideals from being carried to other generations.
and this isn't for you only, this is for any white person who thinks just because they weren't alive then everything that happens now isnt their fault.
america needs to work on stopping the progression of these deep rooted ideals on minorities.
