- The Clinton conspiracy theory echo-chamber led many to think she was a completely irredeemable evil witch.
- People in the rust belt that believed (wrongly) that Trump might bring back some of their manufacturing jobs from China, Mexico and elsewhere.
- People who are tired of political correctness
- Born & raised Republicans who voted for Trump despite not liking him out of loyalty
- Working class voters that distrust the college educated class and perhaps saw in Trump someone more like them
- & of course, what Hillary accurately called the basket of deplorables (racists etc)

I don't agree with any of these reasons but at least try to understand where they're coming from and quit with the stereotyping.

This should be said to both sides. Talking over each other solves nothing.

Right. The US came together on that one point, however misguided.

Hopefully this election scares Demo's into voting next time around. I swear, if we can win the popular vote by what will likely be millions (without even trying, mess ), then we can landslide next time around if people are truly sick of a Trump presidency.

He's no longer immune to media, he's got impossibly large shoes to fill, his approval ratings are going to be record-low, and then Dem's are about to come in swinging in 2020. It's honestly over, but we just have to endure 4 years of stupidity.

If it means hopefully 8 years of peace + progress, then fine.

Agreed. Unless he radically changes course and delivers on those promises all those voters that voted for Obama in 2012 and Trump in 2016 will flock straight back to the democratic candidate especially if its someone like Sanders or Warren. He's not winning a second term.
