Flashing Lights' Top 30 from June 8 - June 14 [NEW #1!]
Last week, Leona Lewis retired at #1 with "Bleeding Love". She held off any song from going to #1 for 4 weeks. However, since she retired last week, there is officially a new #1. Lil Wayne and Madonna retired at #2, and #3, so it's either between Chris Brown and Mariah Carey to be the new #1. I thought about it, and "Forever" keeps growing on me, but "Bye Bye" is as well. Will Chris get his first #1 on my personal chart, after "Forever" tied "With You" as his highest peaking single at #4, or will Mariah get her second #1, after "Touch My Body" held the top spot for 3 weeks? After thinking it through, I decided that since "Bye Bye" still isn't on Z100, it can't be #1. So the new #1 is "Forever"! Today, we have debuts from Lil Wayne, The-Dream, Katy Perry, The Game, and two Usher tracks. Ne-Yo is also set to re-enter the chart this week. The winner from last week's wildcard game will also retire today, and the flashback is from the Hot 100's #1 from exactly 6 years ago this week.
