Justin sat down with the crew over at Hot 97 to discuss his new single "Take Me To Your Heaven", and it's accompanying album.
Hot 97: Everyone we have the hottest artist of our time, Justin Bieber in the building! What was the process of making this brilliant album?
Justin: Thank you guys, the album was literally a long as hell process. Like, I went through 2 mini-eras working on it, and then still took a little break to finalize. The process started during the end of 'The Complete Dream' when I was working on the mini-era for the Soundtrack. I tried to make some songs for the album, and I think 'Round N Round' and 'Damn!' were from then. I'm sure there's more, but I can definitely remember recording those then. Then after that, I started working on the X-mas album, and while doing that era I went back to working on it. Nobody knows, but 'You're Mine' was originally for the X-mas album. Sounded completely different, but it didn't make the album -- I completely redid it for this album. Then after the break, I released 'Favorite Kind of Trouble' then finished all the final touches so after that single died down I could just release the album. I worked every night, all night -- but I don't regret it. It was 2 albums in 1. I worked on it for almost 2 years.
Hot 97: Amazing! Tell us about the 2nd single while you're at.
Justin: Yeah, the single 'Take Me To Your Heaven' is just the regular mid-tempo, but I really love what I did mid-way. Me and Mike wrote this, and I absolutely loved this. Also, earlier this week I talked about a remix I did -- still in love with it. Everything about this whole era, is just fresh and new. I'm working with people, with sounds, and with things I have never before. I've tried to take a new turn in past eras, but it was just really new things with the same sounds, people, etc. I'm glad with what I did specifically on 'The Other Side' disc.
Hot 97: Before we play your new single, and some other of your classics and go back to the interview -- what do you have planned the upcoming weeks?
Justin: Soooo much. First, my team is putting final touches on my tour. Tickets will be on sale TOMORROW, so I want fans to just know and prepare. Then after that, I'm working on the usual stuff. I tried to do those Charity Concerts I do, but it didn't fit in with my schedule and I have a tour soon so it would've messed with stuff. But 'Crossing Worlds' will be huge, especially if you thought 'Dreams Believe' was huge being the largest tour ever. I want this tour do above 80+ dates, and beat my past of around 60-67. Besides that, I've already released my album, the new single, and stuff so basically just stuff regarding those will be released. Videos, Premieres, etc all that.
