Sorry she's become slightly more subtle? Really though "classic Lana" is the most ridiculous term for an artist with two albums out (one being unreleased) and attempts to box in an artist in a way that's insanely boring.

Well, she's never been exactly "exciting"
, but a lot of this is true.
Lana and her camp did a considerable amount of work to develop and brand LANA DEL REY the artist so it's natural to expect certain things.
Did you not like Born to Die? It seems like it. I never felt that her lyrics were "faux-controversial" nor do I feel that the production in BTD was anymore homogeneous than what she has released now, if anything it has been less [so far], but perhaps I was duped into believing the stories she told. I was completely in love with her in 2011/ 2012.
I fell in love with Lana and the story she told, but now it seems like she's telling a completely different story and serving a completely different demographic. Which is fine and I expected it, It's just kind of sad to see what I knew go. Each time we get something new from her, less and less of what I knew from her music is there. For me, there's more to it than just the old American feel.
But like I said, I'm waiting to hear everything else.
