That is true, but this isn't the most impressive debut of all time. I think that title goes to Nsync's No Strings Attached with 2.4 million.

True and their next album after that sold 1.8 million, but as someone said, her selling 1.2 million in 2012 is comparable to their 2.4 million and this will be her third time compared to N*SYNC's two (though they stopped making albums so it's hard to say how they would have fared if that hadn't.)
