I feel so bad for Serena. The Olympics mean the most to her and it must be awful to have your own body turn against you at such an important time.
At the same time I'm SO EXCITED that Venus is doing mixed doubles. If she is fully recovered from her virus and works well with her partner, I think she can go all the way. No one stands more to lose than her. This is probably her last Olympics and, if she wins, she'll be the tennis player with the most gold medals ever. I know she can do it!

Kerber is the first German to have a season better than a Graf season, beating Graf's 1997, 1998. In 1999 Graf won the French Open, and lost the Wimbledon Final, she reached the final in Indian Wells and the SF in Miami, along the QF at the Australian Open. So, Kerber needs to win Olympic Gold and reach the GF at the US Open in order to surpass Graf's "weak" 1999 season.
