There was a punishment if you were late five times you weren't allowed to go. I think it was a pretty lax rule, but I was late every day, so I didn't even bother to defend myself

I didn't really wanna go anyway because they aren't a big of a deal here as they are in the US, but it was still pretty disheartening seeing pictures all of my friends together dressed up in limos and stuff without me
