It's been said before but PI is just not lead material. The hardcore fans bought it, and now it's just up to casual fans/listeners to consume the song now.
Applause, at the very least, had a catchiness factor to it.

She did everything she could to repair her image the past months, it makes no sense that a Gaga lead single is bombing like this , lets send positive vibes, she's gonna stabilize today and the first green update will arrive
Proof that in music you can always redeem yourself by just releasing a strong song. His career was dead in a ditch after endless messy publicity and social media recklessness. He was a leper.
He's perfectly timed to keep Ed sheerans seat warm.
With strong label support that is. This song literally came out of nowhere to claim No.1, unless there was a promo spot I missed...

It does. The song not doing well isn't because of her image, which didn't even need much repair, it's because it's a ****** song that shouldn't even have been an album track.
What has AO have to do with this? It wasn't a lead single, had no radio support, no banner.
You can post Run The World chart performance while you're there, or XO.
I didn't know we couldn't ask about certain songs iTunes chart runs in the iTunes thread?
Feel free to post the iTunes runs of the multi platinum hit RTW. Not that I care
Wow, RTW really had the last laugh. I still think it deserved the flop.
XO is a bit more understandable since the album had already been purchased 1m times in the US removing that initial influx of fan purchases. We haven't had a real lead single from Bey since 2011, I'd love to see how her singles perform pre-album with her current status.
