Very nice debut on HDS What I don't get is how could PG and WB debut on the same position on that chart while WB debuted much higher on the Hot 100. Did PG get less streaming or something?

Thanks to streaming. It would have been top 10 on downloads alone.

Lower first week sales (174K vs 96K) but streaming and AI were pretty much equal, I think.

No clue but she's in the Top 5 for females and ahead of Avril.

So she must be below only Madonna, Celine, Whitney, and Mariah?

In the meantime, here is a look at Spears' U.S. album sales to-date, according to Nielsen SoundScan:
Sales, Title, Release Year
10,555,000, "...Baby One More Time," 1999
9,199,000, "Oops!...I Did It Again," 2000
4,342,000, "Britney," 2001
2,991,000, "In the Zone," 2003
1,667,000, "Circus," 2008
1,395,000, "Greatest Hits: My Prerogative," 2004
991,000, "Blackout," 2007
172,000, "The Singles Collection," 2009
105,000, "B in the Mix: the Remixes," 2005
With 31.6 million albums sold, Spears ranks as the 16th-best-selling album artist since SoundScan began tracking sales in 1991.
|
SOURCE
The numbers add up to 31.4 million so we're left with 200K for other releases and that was before Playlist, Essential, and Oops were released. Playlist alone has sold around 70-75K so we can estimate over 100K for all three. 300K for all the unofficial/random compilation albums.

So when are we adding PG being the most successful Louisianian-American pop duet single by a dual-maternal artist this decade to the OP?

Pretty good, should've been #1 in 2000 but whatever. She did not make the Top 10 in 2002 due to lack of single success but she was the 6th Billboard Top 200 artist (#2 female). Slay.
Edit: She was the 4th biggest female touring act of the 2000s.
