To be fair, he did come out against the Muslim Ban, and no Dem has called for a campaign apology for the comments.

Came out for it and still endorsed him to be POTUS, thus endorsing the policy. Literally means nothing.

That's honestly the part that drives me crazy about disgusting Trump supporters.
It's always "what he MEANT was..."

He's trash so what is new?
Also, don't see how staffers' personal opinions can be made into issues. It's not like they're giving speeches or something
God, let's turn the congress blue

But did he redraw his support?
Had Hillary called for a ban of God from the Pledge of Allegiance, they would have never let it go for GENERATIONS.

They're private emails between staffers. Why would there be a need for a campaign apology?
This is a violation of people's privacy.

you can tell the way a lot of republicans came out swinging about trump's comments during the primaries was just to support the movement for an alternative nominee. they didn't actually care about the offended parties. they all fell right in line behind him as soon as they saw the writing on the wall.

CNN homepage is now about two women coming forward about Trump inappropriately touching them, let another massive media cycle begin!

Half of the Republican party is anti-establishment. Trump has them fired up now, and will probably continue to cause problems for 4 years.
If y'all think they will be organized to nominate someone sane. Cruz here we come. And he's not going to win either.

From a campaign point of view, this is pure hell for Trump. Because he can no longer attack Bill Clinton/Hillary. If he does, people will turn and say, "Well what about the allegations against YOU!?"
If he says, "Decades old, unproven blah blah". Everyone will say, "Well doesn't the same thing go for Bill Clinton?"
And we never had a tape of BC bragging about sexual assault.

I think they will make sure not to nominate someone so un-vetted next time.

Yeah that was his Trump card and it is gone now. Plus the tape alone knocked him down like 10 points in the polls. I don't even think there is anything that wikileaks can release that can trump this, and the media is ignoring that anyway. He was really dumb to mic himself and then talk about being a groper.

I'm sure he and his surrogates will continue going after Bill Clinton because they're just that anal. I mean Kellyanne attacked Clinton for "only" polling at 46% when her candidate was at 37% and was completely blindsided by a retort that pointed that out His campaign is completely oblivious to the shitstorm their campaign is in.

This is my last post. Interesting answer to the "Why now!?" question.
Quote:
Finally, why are all these stories coming out tonight? We can't know precisely. But as we noted Sunday night, Trump's flat declaration that he has never sexually assaulted a woman was the sort of categorical statement that provides a clear hook for news organizations, a clear, categorical statement to examine, challenge and try to refute. It is also the kind of statement likely to bring forward victims, if there are any, who've remained silent. It seems like there are a lot of them.
Once that happens, a legitimate news organization cannot and will not just take accuser's word for it and go ahead and print an allegation. There is seldom proof, per se. But there are standard methods of verification and due diligence a news organization will employ. The first is contemporaneous accounts. Did the victim have others she told at the time or near the time? Can those people verify they were told? Can the accuser verify they were where they claim? Was Trump there? Again, basic due diligence to make a decision about whether a claim is credible. You can't do that in an hour or two. Many of these new accusers appear to have been prompted to come forward because of Trump's declaration in Sunday night's debate. If you figure they reached out to the news organization's on Monday, Wednesday evening is probably about as quickly as those stories could be turned around.
It seems highly likely that there are many more of these to come
