Cara Delevingne on KIIS FM
516 Words
Cara Delevingne stopped by KIIS FM to perform her brand new single 'Honey' during a small session and talk about her music, her new album 'Distant Horizon', and her singles 'La Belle' and 'Honey' and discuss many different subjects. Cara Delevingne has been touring the world and has already toured asia by visiting China, Hong-Kong, Japan and the UAE for performances of concerts during the 'Distant World Tour' and has now moved to the North American leg of the tour which started in Canada a few days ago and is now moving to the US for the first few US dates.
The interview started off with the performance of 'Honey' which Cara sang with an impressive voice but only with a minimal instrumental, making the song sound more Electronic.
Host: We now have live with us the one and only Cara Delevingne!
Cara: Hey how are you guys?
Host: We're just glad you came to see us! You just performed your brand new single 'Honey'.
Cara: Yeah that's right, and it's on my album 'Distant Horizon'.
Host: And you also confirmed that the album will be re-released and packaged with the 50 Shades of Grey soundtrack you are currently working on. Will 'Honey' be heard in the movie?
Cara: yes. A few teasers and trailers for the movie will also be released in the coming weeks and will feature 'Honey' or other songs from the album or the re-release.
Host: And what about the soundtrack itself, are you releasing singles from it as well?
Cara: Yes but not right now. 'Distant Horizon' itself still has loads of potential. There will be singles from it released though, I've actually picked which song it will be. I'm currently doing the last few edits before it gets sent to Distributors. I have a tracklist in mind and it will have between 9 and 11 songs. I'm really excited for the project!
Host: Did you get to watch the movie before doing the tracklist as well?
Cara: Only important excerpts from which I could get inspired from. I also read the books prior to doing the album.
Host: What about your own future projects? Did you start working on your third album?
Cara: Yes. I've been working on both the soundtrack and the third album together but thye will have different sounds.
Host: Who are you working with this time around?
Cara: I've met up with CHVRCHES, Stromae and Kate Boy along with a few other regular producers. It's going to have a more electronic and a more Eurodance sound mixed with some hip-hop beats just like Stromae's second album except with a more electornic sound. I've been listening to both Stromae and CHVRCHES a lot lately. Obviously it will end up being a different project as time passes by and will turn out to have a bigger Cara touch to it.
Host: Well thank you for coming Cara, it was great talking to you, ladies and gentlemen this was Cara Delevingne!
Cara Delevingne's new album 'Distant Horizon' is now available and features the hit singles 'Honey' and 'La Belle'.

Zendaya on Power 106
WORD COUNT: 1270
Earlier today, Zendaya Coleman, who is more known just for her unique first name Zendaya, stopped by Power 106 FM studios in Los Angeles, California, where Gunshots singer sat down with the host of the show to talk things, including her new music, single, album, fashion, other things through, premiere Zendaya's brand new single Broke a Heart or Two on the radio officially, since even though radios have been playing Zendaya's single since it was released on January 18th, it was the first time that Zendaya officially launched her new single on radio and played it herself, and also to perform it acoustically as well. Zendaya was wearing a stellar outfit, as she rocked gray coloured sweater-esque type of dress and nude color Louboutin high heel shoes that are Zendaya's all time favorite shoes, probably. Her make up and hairstyle was on point as she slicked her hair back and rocked simple make up that didn't look to heavy or just too casual either. To finish her whole look up, Zendaya decided to accesorize it with some extra gold bracelets and big hoops. Overall, Zendaya looked really nice and all fixed up and on point. Right before she walked into the studios, Zendaya basically got mobbed by her fans who have been waiting for her to arrive for about two hours, ever since the time when Power 106 confirmed Zendaya will be joining their show today. It was really lovely to see how Zendaya was surprised by a group of her fans, as she stopped to talk with them for a moment before heading in. Inside the studios, Zendaya was greeted with applause as radio hosts and interviewers were congratulating her on yet another amazing single and another high spot on iTunes charts, as the single shot up the charts right after it was performed for the first time at BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards. She gave this huge interview, talked a bit of her brand new single, her friend ship with Taylor Swift, her new album and other things as well. Also, after she was interviewed, Zendaya also performed an acoustic version of Broke a Heart or Two with her guitarist who played on an acoustic guitar and was seated right beside her.
Host: What's your single about? How did you choose this song, instead of the other songs on your upcoming sophomore album?
Zendaya: Basically, Broke a Heart or Two is a song about wanting to desperately find your one true love and the one that is meant for you, but you just can't find that particular person, and your heart breaks just like you break others' hearts as well during the process of finding someone who is right for you. It's hard to understand what this song is about if you haven't experienced something like that, something like going through a relationship that you just can't commit to because it's just not working out and it's obvious that the other person is just not meant for you, and yet you don't want to break their heart and you don't want to hurt their feelings, but you have to because they're not meant for you, and not only you break your heart by hurting someone's feelings even if you don't want to do that, but you also break someone's heart as well because maybe they thought you're the one for them. So, that's basically the whole idea of the song. You always have to break a heart or two, including your own heart, in order to find the one that you truly love. And my good friend Taylor Swift - actually, who is one of my best friends, and one of my friends in this messy industry who is a friend of mine in real life, not just a fake celebrity friend infront of a cameras - helped me to pick out my second single. I really care about her opinion, when we did Gunshots, and when were promoting it constantly all around the world, we got really close, we got to know each other, and we built this really reliable and trustable relationship that is really rare in this music industry, and I'm super glad that we're keeping our friendship to this day, because not only she is a good friend that I can talk to, not only about music but about boys and girl stuff as well, and also because she is like a mentor for me, I guess I could say. She is an old wolf in this industry who knows everything, and she always gives me really good advices, and she is such a motivating, inspiring and amazing person that I really look up to as a girl myself, and as an artist in this industry. So yeah, I invited her over to the studio this other day, because I couldn't pick out a song that could be my second single, and because Taylor is really good at picking the best songs on albums and releasing them as singles, and her own singles that become hits are good examples, and I thought she would help me to do that. And I played her my whole album and when Broke a Heart or Two started playing, I instantly got the idea of what she was thinking, because when I saw her reaction and her face expression, I just knew that this was the right song to be released as my second single. And after I told her what this song is about, and after she told me her opinion on this song, I immediately called up my record label and confirmed that Broke a Heart or Two will be my second single.
Host: So when is your new album coming out?
Zendaya: Um, we have a date already, but I can't confirm it just yet. I think I will confirm it next week, I hope, but I'm not sure. I can say that it's coming out in February, and I think mid-February is the right way to describe by album's release date, I guess. Right now, I don't think it can get pushed back, because my label would probably drop me and sue me for being such a lazy artist because I have no idea how many times this album got delayed, so yeah, I'm like ninety nine percent sure it's coming out next month.
Host: Your schedule is so tight! Do you enjoy all that?
Zendaya: Um, well definitely I enjoy going on all the shows and promoting my songs and my album, that's basically one of the things that artists do, and besides, performing is like my own hobby, and I wouldn't be doing all of this, I wouldn't be an artist right now if it wasn't for performing. I guess I just love connecting with my fans, creating some kind of connection with the people who are watching me during my performances, and it gets really intimate, and I love those kind of vibes, I really do. So I definitely enjoy performing, getting on these shows, and it doesn't matter whether my schedule is so tight that I have to always worry if I get to the studios right on time or not, but this is the lifestyle that I chose. And besides, I may worry about get nervous and a bit angry inbetween all these performances because I'm always in a rush, always have to run and go as fast as I can, but when I get on stage, or when I start singing, I just forget it all and singing helps me to calm myself down and focus on positive and nice things.

Cara Delevingne covers Elle
533 Words

Covering the February 2015 issue of Elle Magazine, is the British Model-turned actress-turned pop star Cara Delevingne. DUring her heavy promotional tour across the world for her brand new album 'DIstant Horizon' which was recently certified platinum after two weeks of charting, Cara Delevingne took a break from her flights for a photoshoot by Hedi Slimane for her Elle cover, which was taken at a studio in Japan and throughout the Tokyo streets, using all the natural light effects including the neons of the buildings for the photoshoot, which made some really interesting and beautiful pictures. The cover shows Cara posing in a pink vinyl see through jacket created by Dolce & Gabbanna with her hair up in a 60s style large hairdo along with nice pink Versace glasses.
Inside the issue, you can find an interview with Cara Delevingne (See the interview below) which included topics such as Cara's own style and fashion, her career and more along with about 7 pictures from the photoshoot along with the rest of the regular articles of the magazine. Cara Delevingne's platinum certified album 'Distant Horizon' is now available and features the hit singles 'Honey' and 'La Belle' which was certified platinum.
Elle: How do you choose your everyday outfits?
Cara: Well I have a very talented stylist. She chooses a series of about 4 or 5 dresses which I can purchase or can easily get after I describe to her what I would like to wear that day. I obviously have a very large amount of choices. My modeling career also helped a lot in that domain, as many fashion houses constantly send me outfits to wear in public.
Elle: What do you keep inside your dialy handbag? what would be the 'essentials'?
Cara: Well I always have some Chanel mascara, a few sun glasses which I constantly put on or take off just depending on my mood, Burberry, CHanel and Versace ones which are just great, a cream called 'Live Live' which keeps my skin soft and is really effective, along with a few Burberry eyelines and some M.A.C cosmetics, along with a Burberry perfume and some candy. I always have all that with me, like everywhere.
Elle: Let's talk about your music, when are you going to release your album's re-release?
Cara: 'Distant Horizon' was already released around the world, but the re-release I'm not sure yet. It will come right before the 50 shades of grey premiere though as the album serves as the film's soundtrack.
Elle: Which of the tracks on the album is your favorite?
Cara: It's between 'Distant Horizon' and 'Honey' right now. The title track will end up being a single since I always release my favorite songs off the album as singles, cause my label trusts my decisions. I got an amazing label.
Elle: And what about the new tracks? from the re-release?
Cara: Oh I have a few great tracks on it. I've worked with this mid-tempo song which was written with Zendaya which is amazing. And there's also this other track called 'Feel Pain', which is a very kinky song, a real S&M anthem that goes so well with 50 Shades of Grey *laughs*

NATALIA KILLS TALKS TO LARRY KING + PERFORMS "EYES SHUT", "WOUNDED FIST", and "COVEN de COUTURE"
702 words
Natalia Kills continued her rounds of performances and spreading awareness by stopping at the studio of Larry King for an exclusive interview.
Larry: Natalia Kills is here with us. By now you should know her. She has been fighting hard against domestic violence and sharing her own stories and battles with the issue which poses a threat to not only a nation but an entire world and generations. If you do not know her by her activism, you would know her by her first job, her music. Natalia Kills has released 2 highly successful albums and produced chart topping songs which are still selling to date. She was also featured as Forbes’ Woman of The Year. Now that you get a sense of who she is, here is Natalia Kills.
Natalia: Hey Larry! I can’t believe I’m actually here sitting down with Larry King. My daddy loves you so much, he watches you all the time.
Larry: That’s very nice to hear, hey there Father Kills! Speaking of your father, is he out of prison now?
Natalia: Oh a long time ago! Yes, he’s a free man now.
Larry: But tell us about what led your father to such a fate
Natalia: Bad mistakes and good intentions. That’s just as much as I can say, I would really like some parts of my personal life to be kept private cuz it seems like as it is, I have already spilled so much tea!
Larry: I respect that but then I also want to address something…on your debut album “Ko-Motion” there was a song called “Saturday Night” which explains in depth what happened to you, your mother and father. How come it’s taken us another album in and a couple of months later to be finally talking about this subject and problem?
Natalia: It’s because then I wasn’t yet strong enough to speak about such a heavy topic. Besides, I didn’t have any platforms back then…nobody really knew who I was and I didn’t want my career to just be defined around that story. I think everything has just worked beautifully together and the timing is more than perfect…now people, my fans, and even other people I do not really know much about are coming together to listen to me and speak up about their own problems. I’m happy with how everything has played out. I just think it was finally time.
Larry: And you’re married?
Natalia: Yes I am!
Larry: What would you do tomorrow if your husband suddenly woke up and actually hit you?
Natalia: First of all let me say that Willy would never do that, knock on wood, but if he ever did do that, I would be out of that house that minute and in every press meeting, media outlet, and friend I can find talking about the issue. Not speaking is what gives these people the power to continually beat and cause bodily harm to these ladies…if they spoke up, the problem would be more or less, solved!
Larry: Finally let us talk about your music, shall we? So I bought your new album, “The Definition of Bad” and let me say that I was really really impressed by the quality of the music on it. It’s really honest yet raunchy when it has to be and it’s just such a beautiful body of work! What’s your favorite song on the record?
Natalia: Good question. Well, it’s always changing. It’s more or less dictated by the mood that I’m in. For example, my best song currently is Whirlwind just because of the very fun and happy sound of it. Sometimes it’s Stilettos, sometimes it’s even Eyes Shut…it’s just always changing.
Larry: Natalia Kills new album “The Definition of Bad” is in stores now and I strongly encourage you get yourself a copy of the album because it’s actually really good. Natalia will be performing for us later on in the show. Thank you for dropping by Natalia!
Natalia: Thank you so much for having me.
Natalia Kills later took to the stage to perform “Eyes Shut”, “Wounded Fist”, and “Coven de Couture” all in full.

Azealia on Today Show
To further promotion of the newly released single Fly as well as the newly released album The Dying Stars, Azealia Banks went on the Today Show to perform the song for a crowd of thousands of fans who sat and watched Azealia's every move as she went across the stage. Along with the performance that had the fans going wild, Azealia went on the program to do an interview where she discussed a multitude of topics such as "What is special to you about the song Fly?", "What is next after The Dying Stars?" and "How much longer do you plan to do the Gemini Tour?" all those questions and more were answered during the program. Azealia had nothing to hide during this interview and made sure to answer each and every question honestly and straight forward, making sure to not beat behind the bush of each subject discussed. While being stopped on the street by paparazzi, Azealia was asked about her appearance on the Today Show which she stated the following about "I can not wait to appear on Today. This will be my third appearance in the past few weeks and I truly feel this will be the best. I can't wait for everyone who watches the program to see what I do to its full extent. I feel that when I go on the program I'll be able to be who I really am and represent myself as a woman completely and totally" Azealia then went on rambling about other stuff, many assuming she just took some ambien.
During her performance on Today, Azealia was seen wearing a green leather skin tight dress that went down to her knees. On the sides of the dress, there were panels of black chiffon fabric that revealed everything Azealia had beneath and more. For shoes, Azealia was seen wearing green high boots that went up to her knees, made of leather and had platform style heels. The outfit was heavily inspired by the mod movement in the 1960s. Azealia's hair had been done in a ponytail with thick mascara on her eyelashes that made it completely visible of each and every eyelash she had. Eyeliner traced out the shape of her eyes, further exemplifying the beauty of her eye shape and putting the mod style outfit to a more real standpoint. Azealia's entire ensemble was put together by Chanel and personally designed by Karl Lagerfeld. Azealia had two female dancers to her side which wore matching outfits in different colors and different hairstyles than Azealia. Azealia was standing on a circular platform throughout this performance as her dancers stood on lower circular platforms. Lights shone on the stage which Azealia stood on that shone images of rotating pink, blue, and yellow flowers on the stage. There was a mic on each platform that Azealia and the dancers each sang into. The entirety of the performance was heavily influenced by the mod movement and the US in the 1960s as a whole. At the beginning of the performance, Azealia and the dancers moved their arms up and down, doing continual dance moves of the 60s. Throughout the performance of Fly, Azealia and the dancers fully exemplified what it was to be a superstar in the 60s.
After the performance, a series of commercials aired, many of which advertised Fly being on iTunes today. Azealia was then seen after the break sitting down ready to be interviewed by the hosts of the Today Show. One of the first questions they asked was about why choosing Fly as a single over the others and what made it necessary to be the second single. Azealia responded to this inquiry by stating the following "Fly is a song with a lot of meaning and it's open for interpretation, unlike many of the songs off of the album. Fly is a song almost everyone and anyone can relate to and that's truly what makes it something special and something necessary to release to the general public." After several other questions being answered about both Fly and The Dying Stars, the interview was over and they all signed off. Be sure to buy The Dying Stars and Fly today.

Azealia on Wendy
While continuing the long promotional run of the latest single off of the album The Dying Stars, Fly, Azealia Banks went on Wendy Williams' iconic and infamous daytime talk program to do both an interview and give a performance to the queen of all media. Azealia Banks has had a busy past few weeks while promoting. She's released a top three single, Metamorph, and also released the number one album The Dying Stars. She has done this all while managing to maintain sanity and a normal lifestyle for the singer/rapper. Wendy Williams has been a stop for Azealia during her promotional runs for a long time now and just last week she appeared on the program to promote The Dying Stars and the tour she just began, the Gemini Tour. Azealia's strength and will to work so hard has been very admirable and been highly praised by critics of the young star who have said that she is one to continue working and not let anyone get to her. Azealia has seen a great amount of success over the past year with multiple top three hits and a number one single Vibes, with the success of Fly, it is evident Azealia does not plan on slowing down any time soon. When asked about Fly by the paparazzi, Azealia said the following "I am so happy with all the success I have seen and with Fly being one of my favorite songs off of the album, I am truly more than happy to be able to serve this world with good music and happiness. Hopefully the world will continue to support me throughout this journey I like to call life and my career. Be sure to watch me on Wendy's show"
During her performance on the Wendy Show, Azealia was seen wearing a white lace gown. The gown went down to the floor and beneath the lace gown, Azealia was seen wearing a white leather one piece showgirl type outfit. Azealia's shoes were designed by Alexander McQueen and stood sky high at a high of 7 inches. The heels were very intricate and had white curves and spirals like a corkscrew as the heel. Azealia's hair was done down and flat ironed. Her hair had been dyed for this performance a deep shade of blue and it went down to her breast. Her makeup had white swooping motions, like if a bird had become human. The beautiful ensemble was put together and designed by the heads and workers of Alexander McQueen's house personally for Azealia during this night. There were two male dancers by Azealia's side during this performance that wore lace pants and had white body paint covering them head to toe. At the beginning of the performance, you saw Azealia on the stage with a microphone. The stage had lace canopied across and layered. The two dancers came out and moved as Azealia began to sing the opening lines of Fly. As she was singing, there was little movement except for the fans that blew on Azealia's hair and made it flow with the wind. Throughout the performance, Azealia stood still and sang and rapped the entirety of Fly live as the dancers moved around her. Childish Gambino was not present for this entire performance of Fly. However, he was there in spirit as his part played and Azealia took off the lace to reveal the white leather which she did a dance routine in as the dancers moved with her.
After a few commercials that further advertised Azealia and The Dying Stars, Azealia was back and ready to be interviewed by Wendy Williams. When asked about the music video for Fly, Azealia said the following "I have two videos to premiere this week. One is the new Target commercial which will premiere during a Target online performance I will do for the store. The other video that has to be premiered is the music video for Fly which I will premiere on VEVO this Wednesday which is tomorrow so be sure to watch out for that because I can't wait to show all of you what is coming in the world of Azealia's mind" after a few more questions, Azealia signed off with Wendy, making sure to remind all of them to buy The Dying Stars and Fly today. Be sure to buy Fly and The Dying Stars this week.

Lady Gaga and Madonna on Live! With Kelly and Michael
Pop music titans Lady Gaga and Madonna appeared on today’s episode of ABC’s Live! With Kelly and Michael to promote their hit single, “PARTYNAUSEOUS”. They were interviewed by hosts Michael Strahan and Kelly Ripa and also closed the show with a performance of the song.
Kelly: Please welcome, Madonna and Lady Gaga!
*Gaga and Madonna enter the set to a massive round of applause from the studio audience as Kelly and Michael greet them both*
Kelly: How are you both?
Madonna: We’re doing great!
Gaga: Thank you for having us today.
Michael: Thank you for being here, you must have a busy schedule.
Madonna: It’s busy but we get the job done.
Kelly: *laughs* Well, I imagine you’re used to it now since you two are pros.
Gaga: You see I don’t know if I’d say that. I always get excited and a little nervous for a promotional spot, you know?
Michael: Really? How do you feel about that, Madonna?
Madonna: Oh, I absolutely agree. It’s always gruelling.
Kelly: So, how did you both come together for this song, “PARTYNAUSEOUS”?
Gaga: Well long story short, I wrote this song 3 years ago now whilst I was in Jakarta for my tour, the Born This Way Ball. And what was happening was there were Islamic protestors who didn’t like that I supported the gays and all this other stuff. So anyway, I kept this song because I really felt like it belonged on this new record I’m putting out, but I thought it was kind of empty. Because it was meant to be a collaboration with an amazing rapper called Kendrick Lamar. And me and Madonna were in talks and I put forward “PARTYNAUSEOUS” and the rest was history.
Michael: Right, and I hate to ask but there was this whole stir about you two feuding because Madonna, you called Gaga “reductive” on GMA, so how did you settle that?
Madonna: Sometimes people get envious and messy. But I love Gaga and she’s always known that, and I don’t deal with petty ish like that. That’s tabloid jargon.
Kelly: Well said, and we have an exclusive clip from the lyric video let’s take a look.
*shows clip from the PARTYNAUSEOUS lyric video with Gaga and Madonna recklessly partying*
Michael: And that’s the most family friendly scene in the video, believe it or not.
*audience and Madonna and Gaga laugh*
Kelly: And there are actually a number of celebrities in the video, such as Lindsay Lohan and Khloe Kardashian. How did their cameos in the video come about?
Gaga: Well, I invited Lindsay to the set but it just so happened that Khloe was at the club we were at, Lure in Hollywood, so yeah we filmed with her too.
Madonna: And by the way, the video is not acting. Me and Gaga really were out partying and living up the nightlife in WeHo.
Michael: And I can believe that. So, you’re both going to sing for us after the break?
Gaga: Of course!
Kelly: You heard it, join us after this short commercial break to see none other than Lady Gaga and Madonna perform their collaboration “PARTYNAUSEOUS” live! I can’t believe this is happening!
After the break, Kelly and Michael introduced Gaga and Madonna’s performance.
The stage is set with deep, heavy and thick cannabis-green fog. Gaga and Madonna are brought onto the stage in two gothic regal arm chairs draped in black cloth. They are wearing extravagant costumes by Moritz Waldemeyer for Philip Treacy which are digital and LED powered. The dynamic duo and their talented and energetic dancers perform against acid style video backdrops on the screen in the background. The studio crowd screams and applauds at the end of the performance.

“PARTYNAUSEOUS” is available on

Taylor Swift’s been all over the world the past few months promoting her music, film, and other side projects the singer songwriter and actress has been woking on. These past few weeks the singer released her first ever greatest hits album, Yours: The Greatest Hits, an album that would be promoted by a lead single, ‘Style’, a Max Martin and Shellback produced track that singer wrote with the two. The song managed to become Taylor Swift’s official ninth number one single, marking a feat for the singer. That feat would be that the last four efforts or albums the singer songwriter has released lead singles have went to the top of the summit, or in other words number one. It wouldn’t take long for the album to reach number one on the albums charts as well, making it Swift’s fifth number one album, scoring the top spot with over seven hundred thousand copies first week (the album would sell another seven hundred thousand copes second week, making it her fastest and best selling album to date, selling over one million and four hundred thousand copies first week). This week the singer scored her tenth number one single, ‘Too Good To Lose’, a song the singer wrote with friend fellow music partner Justin Bieber. The song would become the fastest selling song of the year, reaching the top spot in it’s debut week. It marks the second number one from this album campaign not only from Taylor and ‘Yours: The Greatest Hits’ album but as well for Justin Bieber and his ‘The Collection and More’ album (his lead single’ Memphis’ also reached the top spot of the singles charts.)
Promotion would continue for the song in it’s second week, as the Taylor alone would appear on On Air With Ryan Seacrest this morning for an interview regarding her past few weeks and to even perform little bit of the song acoustic for Ryan and those who were listening to the evening show. She’d come on air, video would later be uploaded, showing the singer wearing a dress that had a neon green hue to it in it’s pattern. Greetings would take place between Taylor, Ryan, and Ellen before they would get right into the discussion of her music, opinions on the current music world, and most interestingly marriage with her now male model boyfriend, Simon Nessman (the two suffered a split the week prior to New Year’s, causing them to be reunite in what many say was a day or two before New Years or supposedly a few days after, it is unknown).
“So Taylor, tell me, how’s it feel now be the owner of ten number one singles in the past two years? That has to mean something to you now, right? Or is it the same feeling as when you got your first?” Ryan would ask Taylor who would listen with a smile. “Getting a number one single is an exciting feeling. I remember the first time I got a number one I was kind of freaking out about it. I was like “this is crazy”. Then I ate some lasagna and was tired like thirty minutes later and was over it. Nine number ones later I’m still excited but it’s sort of a feeling I’m used to in a really non arrogant way, if you get what I mean. The most exciting apart of it now is just making history. The fans enjoy the music obviously and that’s all that really matters to me now. I’ve had so much success these past few years so I’m just being grateful and enjoying life as it is.”
When asked about some other artists and shows she’s enjoying right now, the singer commented on a show called ‘Nashville’ and ‘Shameless’. “I’ve been really into Shamless and Nashville right now. Nashville has such great songs and cast members really bringing the songs and stories to life, if you get what I mean. Plus, I kind of have some history with Nashville os. As for Shameless, it’s just an amazing show with an amazing cast. Emmy Rossum is great and so deserving of an Emmy or Oscar so, that.” She’d then comment on music. “I’m really loving Zendaya’s new single. I need you to spin it before I go, Ryan. Like seriously, have you heard it? It’s amazing. I think she did such an amazing job.”
When talking about marriage with her now male model boyfriend, she seemed to gush, her cheeks turning red as she would make it known Simon was in the other room waiting for her to finish the interview. “Marriage? Marriage, I think isn’t that far in the future. I’m pretty sure about this one. I’m pretty sure about him. We’ve been thinking about it heavily. It’s been an entire year and we’ve only really had troubles here and there. We both loves so intensely and so fast, and it’s worked so well. I don’t know, I’ve never really felt so invested in a relationship before and I love the feeling. I wouldn’t give it up for anything. So I can say marriage is actually in the near future if you get what I mean.”
Taylor would then perform the song acoustically, ‘Too Good To Lose’, bringing out her classic old ‘Taylor’ guitar to perform a very special beautiful acoustic version of the song, serving vocals.

‘INFINITY’
BILLBOARD EXCLUSIVE
Just this afternoon, M.I.A. stopped by the prominent, official landmark for all music- Billboard. She would drop in to give an exclusive track-by-track commentary on her just-released album, Infinity. Ever since releasing the album this warning with no early talks of it, M.I.A. has captured the attention of tens of millions of people around the globe, as well as created a landmark moment that will surely be looked back upon in high-thought on her career. The album, that was just put out at midnight, has entered the Top Ten in over eight countries around the globe- by now, topping over twenty thanks to the immense digital takeover on the market that Revolution Records secured. With much more promotion on the way as the week comes to a close, Infinity is set to be M.I.A.’s biggest album opening week- without a doubt.
TRACK #1: INTRO
“When making the original blueprint for this record, I knew I wanted one intro and one outro to the record- a skit was a possibility at the time. I really wanted the first thing you hear to be a butter-up track, to prepare you for the supernova of the album. The intro is like a little flame, that really leads you into the first track which the star begins to be born- but this is just the sex prior.”
TRACK #2: GENERALLY SPEAKING
“'Generally Speaking’ is one of the more honest, really just- don’t give a **** type of record on the album. I’ve been globetrotting [no pun intended] for the past two years, studying human behavior. And this is just my way of saying generally speaking… we are generally speaking THESE ideas. I wanted an anthemic, very universal sound- I wanted the first full track to be something just amazing, but super relatable- and I think I’ve accomplished that.”
TRACK #3: JINX
“And then of course after an extremely relatable, anthemic, universal track I go in the studio and **** around to create some complete Electro-Alternative **** that the general public wouldn’t listen to anyways! In all sincerity though, Jinx’ is a track about deception. The track has a very specific sound- I wanted it to be the sonic form of optical illusions, I was definitely inspired by them lots. ‘Jinx’ goes from being deceptive in a relationship, to your family, to letting deception eat you. But at the same time, I didn’t want it to be this very mopey, grieving, depressing track- I wanted it to speak with a very unique sound and have a very bright, upbeat effect to create some sort of jam… in a way.”
TRACK #4: ZONED OUT
“After the very interesting, sonic whirlwind of ‘Jinx’, you reach ‘Zoned Out’. So it’s kind of funny, because the album starts very precise, very specific- very sure of everything going; but then ‘Jinx’ and ‘Zoned Out’ just have, this… sonically mass of confusion. ‘Zoned Out’ definitely takes that confusion to a more literal and thematic kind of way, but slows down the music a lot more. It’s personally one of my favorite tracks on the album. I was definitely inspired by the back cover of the album- and wanted to make a slow, electro-groove, but R&B-sultry rendition of the noises I heard. I also got to work with Arca, who’s done lots of work for Björk- whom I idolize, so that was lots of fun."
TRACK #5: MUFFLED CRY
“‘Muffled Cry’ was originally called ‘Battle Cry’, but I eventually made that title / change in the chorus because the original had sounded a little too hard following ‘Zoned Out’. So ‘Muffled Cry’ literally muffled some of the bass and drums on the track, which Arca also did work for, and the tone of the record turned from more angry, to more composed and mellow- maybe a little more saddening. The song itself is mainly about coming from a broken life- where everything- safety, relationships, family- it’s all just contained and when one attempts to find their release, it all seems to come back down in fear- and they continue to contain all of that emotion and experience. I was definitely inspired by Sri Lanka and my life experiences for this track.
TRACK #6: KILOS
“‘Kilos’ is a track I really love- and I really wanted to manipulate the meaning of the word. It’s all about the weight, the pressure one feels in a war- which explains many geographic / distance / mathematic references throughout the song. But the production is so fiery, thanks to Danja, that when you first hear the sounds- you automatically think of drugs. It definitely has its place on the album- and connects with the theme of deception, but in the production. It’s a track that makes you stop and really have to analyze it for a moment in order to get- which you know I love to do with my music.”
TRACK #7: DESTRUCTION
“‘Destruction’ was actually a song I’d done with Revolution Records when I was signed with them back in 2013 / 2014. It’s definitely the most commercial, mainstream song in terms of its purpose and message- which is obviously partying, swagger and things of that nature. I still wanted super-cool, super-indie Electronic production- so I obviously went to The Partysquad, who produced the godly ‘Y.A.L.A.’. It’s definitely reminiscent of ‘Y.A.L.A.’- it’d make a nice single too.”
TRACK #8: GLOBETROTTER SKIT
“Like I stated before… I wasn’t quite sure if there was going to be a skit on this album in particular, but after traveling the world for about seven months between 2013 and 2014 and 2015, I felt that the whole idea of globetrotting had to have a mention on this project… and was very fitting considering the origin of many of these songs and what I was going through and reflecting upon… and just channeling into my music at the time. And especially having ‘Eureka’ on the album, it would be a very nice transition from this futuristic, completely cool M.I.A.- to the more rugged, rags-and-a-drumbeat type of M.I.A. some people may have fallen in love with at first.”
TRACK #9: EUREKA
“‘Eureka’ is also a track I had done back in 2013. I was in the studio, fooling around with many of these little snippets Diplo sent me, as well as reflecting and reminiscing on a lot of my old **** too. And… the production just happened. I was able to go all ‘Bamboo Banga’ with this really bitch-of-a-beat, which was rough and had this almost R&B-esque bass-line. I fell in love right away- added some background nature samples throughout the chorus- and BOOM I just went back to this universal, raw M.I.A. and wrote away with ‘Eureka’. It also came from a place of wanting to travel and really explore the world and its kind more- which just so happened to be fulfilled in ‘Globetrotter’ the next year.”
TRACK #10: PLEASURE / DISABLE
“‘Please / Disable’ is the only transition / two-track song on the album. I didn’t really have any plans… or affinity for two-track songs- it was a natural and odd occurrence actually. I had just gotten this beat from DJ Mustard, after getting into more Rap music lately- Kanye, Beyoncé- just lots of Rhythmic. After doing the ‘***Flawless’ remix for Beyoncé, I requested lots of Urban material- and there was this one DJ Mustard beat I fell in love with- but wanted to get my hands on to **** it up, make it Electro-Punk and messy as ****- and go in the studio to destroy. So the ‘Pleasure’ portion contains the production he did only, with a lot more of a low-key vocal and vibe. And then the ‘Disable’ portion is all the additional production and changes I made to **** it up. The song is clearly about the sex- the pleasures and fantasy of it, meeting the risk, rush, disaster, and pain of it. I didn’t wanna overdo it, that’d be tacky- I think five minutes and something seconds is perfect as opposed to me trying to come up with some eighteen minute PowerPoint on it.”
TRACK #11: FUNK
“‘Funk’! I ****ing LOVE ‘Funk’! It was originally called ‘Does U Funk’, when I did it back in 2013, but I reworked it a lot to fit the sound of the album. It definitely has some influences with ‘Come Walk With Me’ and ‘Tell Me Why’- mixed with the futuristic, progressive sound that Infinity has. I just remember trying so hard, for months and months to get this track back on my project. I loved it too much- and you best believe I’ve filmed a video, planned the tour performance- everything.”
TRACK #12: WHEEL-A-GO-ROUND
“‘Wheel-A-Go-Round’ is a great track that sonically I feel really starts to make you feel like… you’re on the edge, the ledge of jumping off into the last section of the album. I wrote it while driving on the prairies in Africa… Angola specifically. I was just so attracted by the scenery, and wanting to write a song about actual distance and nonconformity / awkwardness stepping into unknown environment. I actually surprised myself with the production, since its more simplistic and easier to cozy up as opposed to other tracks.”
TRACK #13: SIMMER SUMMER DOWN
“I knew coming into this album process that I was attracted so much by weather, that’d I end up having a song on the project about it. I had actually wrote several songs- for all seasons. Two songs that were up for major consideration alongside ‘Simmer Summer Down’ were ‘Rustic’, which is about Fall; ‘Rainfall’, which was about weather, comparing it to a broken relationship in general; lastly, ‘Where’d You Go?’, which is about the Winter. ‘Simmer Summer Down’ is a track that would be easy to get lit to- in all honesty. It definitely has an inviting, mysterious, yet bubbly sound to it which I really love and would make for a great fit for the album, especially the end.”
TRACK #14: DUE TIME
“‘Due Time’, without hesitation, serves as my most beloved, best, and what I think will be the most universal track. There’s a very, very deep story to all aspects of the song- but for now, before the visual and everything is out- I’ll leave it up to people to see how they’ll hear it.”
TRACK #15: OUTRO
“I wanted to mix something orchestral like the little influences in ‘Due Time’ to create a truly immaculate outro. I really feel that it is a perfect mix of everything- electronic, classical, and other genres- all mixed properly together. I’m very happy I was able to make this one all alone- I think it’s perfect.”
She performed five tracks from the album, which were- “Zoned Out”, followed by “Pleasure / Disable”, then “Wheel-A-Go-Round”, afterwards “Funk”, and ending off with “Muffled Cry”. Considering she had performed “Generally Speaking” and “Due Time” on Good Morning America- it became apparent that M.I.A. wanted to dab and cover all areas of the album for the critics, as well as the public. She was extremely passionate throughout all the performances, and did nothing but a fantastic job. And although no single has been picked, or will start impacting this week- Billboard had written up that besides the dead-obvious choice of “Due Time”, they’d be extremely interested to see “Zoned Out” as a single, although they’re thirsting to see “Funk” begin immediate impact. They also acclaimed “Jinx”, calling it extremely “overlooked” and “underrated”, given that it is one of the most effort-filled in terms of production. All in all, they gave the album a score of eighty-eight. They definitely agree with Revolution Records when said that this will be M.I.A.’s most iconic project to date- and called it her best.

Can I re-join? I find doing something creative throughout the week is the only way to stay sane.
I'd like my old Dopamine Records, with Sky Ferreira. I think she's available now.

I signed Kesha and Bonnie McKee at the beginning of the game, I just haven't done anything with them yet. A RedOne tea.

KESHA RELEASES LONG-AWAITED SINGLE "TWILIGHT"
632 WORDS

Kesha has finally released her brand new comeback single, "Twilight". Due to a misunderstanding last week, after the announcement from Kesha that her new single was to be titled Twilight, the single was momentarily available to purchase on iTunes. According to Kesha, this was never supposed to happen. "The single leaked early! iTunes leaked it!" the Die Young singer exclaimed, "It was supposed to go on iTunes for pre-order after the announcement, for purchase this week. But somehow that didn't happen, and I had fans on Twitter telling me how much they loved the track. I was a little confused at first, but when we found out what had happened, my label took the song off iTunes straight away. They're not sure what happened but they're certain that it wasn't a miscommunication."
One of the label executives, Sam Jay, didn't have much to say about the incident when confronted earlier in the week, "The issue with Kesha's single was not our fault. We believe somebody working for Apple decided to put the song up on iTunes early against our specific orders. The situation has been handled."
The accidental release of the song lasted from 12:00am until 12:06 on January 14th, with Kesha's team being quick to get on top of the source of the leak, removing the song from iTunes. That brief window was enough for die-hard fans to secure their early copy of the song. One fan, Lizzy Hudson, was thrilled to have a new Kesha song to listen to, "OMG the new Kesha song is soooooooo good! It's like, my favourite song ever. I haven't stopped listening to it!! I was waiting up all night for it and when I saw it was finally on her iTunes I bought it with my mom's credit card! When she found out about it I got grounded for a month but I don't even care, I've got new Kesha! AHHH!!!"
Fans who purchased the song early promised to keep the song to themselves until the eventual release, with the hashtag "#AlmostTwilight" trending across Twitter to spread the word. And at last, that day is here.
"I can finally share my song with the world, at the right time!" Kesha smiled about the release of her new single. "Twilight is... wow, well Twilight is everything. I've been working on so many new songs for the past two years and this one is just really special to me, and I just know the fans are going to identify with it." Kesha revealed in a statement last week that the song was written when she was in rehab for an eating disorder caused by her former producer Dr. Luke early last year. "It's not a negative song at all, though. It may seem that way at first, but it's about getting through the toughest of times. After the twilight there's always going to be a sunrise eventually. You just have to stick it out." Kesha references some lyrics from her new single.
Kesha's new single is expected to lead a new album, revealed to be the self-titled 'Kesha Rose'. Kesha has revealed that her third studio effort, and first since leaving former label Kemosabe, will be a two disc collection of "old" and "new" tracks, but Kesha hasn't specified exactly what she means by this. "You'll just have to wait and see," Kesha grins when asked about the two disc component of her new album. The single Twilight is expected to be a part of the second disc. Could she be hinting at a disc of happy, party songs like her previous works, and a disc of more darker, introspective material? Only time will tell. Kesha's new album is projected to be released sometime next week.
Kesha's "Twilight" is currently on iTunes for purchase.

Ariana's album has been indefinitely pushed back. Ha BWET era
I might just save the rest of the era for the summer season. I might rerelease Heartbreak for the first week then go right to a second single or the album. Heartbreak could still get some light promo though for this season.
Also, I just finished a 686 (really less than that due to citations) word essay for my Geology class. I got the right amount of additional sources, but I kinda had to BS some stuff (although it's all somewhat common sense). I'd say this helped me make the deadline. Now if only I could write 20 of those
Anyway, how strenuous is hosting CAL? It seems a lot less strenuous than writing 20 1k articles a week, at least for me. Answer questions, control drama, etc. It seems like the only difficult parts would be the OP posts, the charts, and award shows, but it still seems manageable. I'm asking this because I'd be interested in hosting the next winter season of CAL or even an All-Stars version.
