I've had Bang Bang on repeat for the last hour. By far the best track on the album, although the album as a whole is really good I Won't Dance is also becoming a favorite. I also really like They All Laughed. And of course Lush Life and Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye
I feel more indie reviewers will be more negative along the lines of 'let's trash this and make out that we know a lot about jazz hurr hurr' whereas more mainstream-oriented publications will give it moderate scores centred around 'oh **** Lady Gaga can belt out jazz songs'.
So if we get scores from Consequence of Sound, Drowned in Sound, Village Voice, maybe expect worse scores and the slightly better ones from The Independent, Observer etc. Then again, this album could pull a Taylor Swift in that publications that don't so much deal with the genre in which it partakes overlook it altogether.
