New York Times Reviews SugarNSpice's MSG Concert
Can Madison Square Garden be called MSG? Why is that pic so overused? Anyways, SugarNSpice performed at the popular NY venue...which is in our city and here's what we thought:
It was interesting.. The rabbits performed the Harry Styles of the duo, Natalie's songs from her mixtape, covers of almost hits, a cover of a actual hit, and Snatch Your Weave...twice. I'm not saying it was a bad show, and Lexie DID prove us wrong with those powerful vocals in the Perfume cover. Better than Britney's. I applaud them for making sure to still perform some original work, and not turning it into a full blown tribute show, but still. Like any debuting artist, they can't perform everything from the new album, so I suppose that's why we got so many covers. The rabbits do have decent flows/singing voices though, all through the mess.

SugarNSpice Taken Into Custody Due To Abuse Claims
Apparently rabbits are not allowed to promote their work, according to a animal control facility, as well as the pow-lice. The rabbit duo were resting in their home, when the police + animal control arrived, and not only was their owner arrested, but the girls got taken away. Both Natalie and Lexie put up a vicious fight, screaming, scratching, and jumping out of the hands of the people who took them. "I AM NOT ABUSED, I AM NOT ABUSED!" Natalie screamed. "what am pregnant" Why did this happen? PETA apparently believes the rabbits were overworked, and weren't taken cared of. No word on if Pepper was also taken away, or if the rabbits will still release their albums. #JusticeForSugarNSpice

GEORGE G ON ELLEN
“No Last Name” Performance
Ellen: Ladies and gentlemen please welcome George G!
*Applause*
George began to beat his foot to the ground and clap his hands in the air, with the audience following. It was just him and the live band playing, as he held his microphone stand with edginess and jumped a bit with it to get the audience hyped. This time, George did not stick his middle finger when the line came up, as he went along through the first verse calmly and happily. When the chorus kicked in, he threw down the microphone stand and kept moving along with the track. For the second verse, he moved around strutting in the audience and dancing with some audience members. For the chorus, handed some audience members the microphone to sing along as surprisingly all the members he selected knew the lyrics. For the bridge, George came back to the stage and began to play on the drums. He snatched the microphone for the final chorus where we gave it everything and still had a blast.
Ellen: That was fantastic! We’ll be back with George G after the break!
Interview, Part I
Ellen: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the chair George G!
*Applause*
*George Walks In As “No Last Name” Plays*
*Elen & George Hug*
*Everyone Sits Down*
George G: Oh my God, I’m like freaking out inside because I’m on ELLEN!!!!
*Applause*
Ellen: Well, it’s great to have you here — first time on the show!
George G: Yup!
Ellen: Well that was a super fun performance right there!
George G: Thank you!
Ellen: And you’ll be performing for us at the end of the show.
George G: Yes, my new single “Teenage Rebel / Bring the Noise” is out today so it’s going to be super fun to perform for you guys!
Ellen: Alright, so we all know who you are as a producer, songwriter, label owner and music video director — practically everything BUT singing. So why pursue a career now?
George G: I’ve always loved to sing, I just never really had that talent-factor or vocal ability to actually sit here right now. But I called up my employees and we set up a plan, it took months of hard work but I reached a level where I thought “Ok, you can actually go and present yourself now!” *laughs* and here we are.
Ellen: Well, you definitely have grown a lot in just the few weeks we’ve seen you in action.
George G: Thank you.
Ellen: So your new singles “No Last Name” and “Teenage Rebel / Bring the Noise” are out right now. And you’re going to release a double album later this year… so explain that.
George G: Well I love music so much that creating an album with like 12-18 songs is just not enough for me. I feel like there’s so much of a variety that I can showcase, so I made two discs and it’s all in one little case of experience! The first disc showcases a more mainstream, commercial side to the double album while the second disc is more underground, raw, demo-ish sort of material.
Ellen: Sounds very exciting! Which song is supposed to be on which disc?
George G: “No Last Name” is on the first disc, which is why I released it first and “Teenage Rebel / Bring the Noise” is on the second disc.
Ellen: Wow, amazing. So what were the hardest things in transitioning from a behind-the-scenes guy to the frontman?
George G: Vocals. Definitely vocals. I mean I started out as an average singer, I had my great moments, I had my not-so-great tones and voices but it’s something we’ve built upon. Another thing I would say is personality, which I don’t talk about much. Being the fact that I am openly gay, and just having the mentality and the way I think about stuff in general — I’m always constantly worrying on what people are going to think of me and how they are going to perceive everything I say. I mean I’m not saying I’m some HUGE artist that EVERYBODY wants to hear EVERYTHING from, but getting onto the stage is a bit nerve wracking.
Ellen: How do you brush all that off?
George G: I remember why I chose to be an artist now. I have four intentions and objectives in my career: One is to make good music. Two is to release good music. Three is to make people happy. And four is to just have the absolute time of my life.
Ellen: Have you been having the time of your life so far?
George G: Oh absolutely! Every single day I’m so thankful for being in the position I am and I’m really excited for this era to just… take off.
Ellen: Well it’s been taking off a bit rocky, but alright. You debuted at #8 on the CAL Chart with 230.000 copies sold. What’s your opinion on that?
George G: It’s not the debut I was dreaming of, but I’ll take it for sure! I mean promoting artists — I’m so used to booking slots, coming up with concepts and motivating my artists but to get out there and do it myself — it’s a completely different story. But I think now I’m starting to get the hang of the things!
Ellen: Of course you are! You’re on Ellen!
*Laughter*
George G: True that, sis!
Ellen: Alright, when we return we got more with music mastermind-gone-artist George G! Don’t go anywhere!
Interview, Part II
Ellen: We’re back with with George G! Now before we continue, let’s take a look at this video.
A video of Revolution Records’s achievements from last year (CAL3) were played. They showed two Top Three hits and a #1 album belonging to Miley, Krewella’s mind-blowing X Factor debut performance as well as their Pretty Little Liars guest starring, Danity Kane’s Teen Choice Awards comeback opening performance and the start of Céline’s controversial performances. Altogether, the label sold over 5.5Million Records.
Ellen: Those are all of the achievements listed by George G, or Georgie Skai I should say running Revolution Records last year.
*Applause*
George G: *giggles* Thank you!
Ellen: So how do you keep up managing your artists — and yourself as a matter of fact?
George G: Well the thing about all my artists is that we all have our bars set and our concepts of promotion in tact for now. We definitely know what the ladder of success of our label is going to be, and everyone is right where they want to be on that ladder. Right now it’s just me, Céline and M.I.A. but soon I have two amazing artists — Shanaynay and Emily Wilson debuting later this year.
Ellen: It’s been rumored that you’re taking a bit of a break — why?
George G: The tracking weeks go by FAST, Ellen sis! I just don’t want to make the same mistake I made last year with managing multiple artists at the same time. Although I did a moderately good job, I didn’t bring them up to where they deserved. So the label’s taking two weeks off just to tighten up a bit and have more thorough planning so each and every artist can truly get the success they deserve and aim for.
Ellen: What have you got up in store for us?
George G: Every single album is going to DELIVER and change the game one album at a time. Whether it’s lyrically, conceptually, graphically, vocally, global promotion, production, innovations — each album is so diverse and unique. That’s what I love about my label and I’ve said this since Day #1 — I’m not changing a single thing.
*Applause*
Ellen: Alright well why don’t we get you up on stage again?
George G: Sounds fantastic!
*George Goes Up On Stage*
“Teenage Rebel / Bring the Noise” Performance
Ellen: Performing his brand new single “Teenage Rebel / Bring the Noise” it’s George G!
The live band was not on stage anymore, as the set-up of the stage was a table, a chair and some dancers. Sitting on the chair George took a sip of Coca Cola, singing the beginning of “Teenage Rebel” acapella. He rapped acapella too, as everything stood still. The crowd cheered on for a bit. He winked at the audience. “Are you ready Ellen?!?!” The chair and table were removed to the sides of the stage as the “Bring the Noise” portion of the song played on playback. A beat breakdown kicked it off, with the dancers and George starting to push themselves on some choreography. George G sung/rapped on the front of the stage, pointing to members off the crowd and dancing a bit solo. When the chorus kicked in he went back to the center of the stage to go IN hard on choreography. At the end he belted out the last line and smiled.
Ellen: Great job — “Teenage Rebel / Bring the Noise” and “No Last Name” are on iTunes now! Alright guys, that’s it for today! Thanks so much to George G for coming out today and see you guys soon, have a beautiful day!
George G: Bye guys!

GEORGE G OPENS FOR KE$HA: SHOW #2 (1/6)
Tonight George G opened for Ke$ha on her ‘Warrior’ tour in New York. He prepared four songs, one including a duet with Ke$ha herself at the end. The fans absolutely loved George, since his style is similar to Ke$ha’s (and he’s gay, duh!)
NO LAST NAME
“What’s up ANIMAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLL$?!?!
*The band began to play a nice Pop-Rock intro as George stepped out onto the stage.
“My name is George G — I think y’all know me as Georgie Skai. And this is… No Last Name!”
*The band began to kick into the song. George put his microphone into the stand and began singing as he clapped his hands up the air, with the animals following really quickly. He began to sing the song, sticking the middle finger up as he says in the second line. He pounds his foot on the ground to the beat and continues to sing. He began to lean the microphone stand down a bit, looking as Ke$ha vid in her X Factor performance of C’Mon*
*He took his microphone stand out and began to perform the rest of the song. Throughout the song he would go over to the band and **** around with them a bit. During the bridge, two dancers came out and did some basic but cute choreography. Although this was George’s smallest crowd to perform for yet, his vocals were at the best they’ve been and the Animal$ were loving the performance. He ended by holding his microphone up in the air*
“Thank you!”
TEENAGE REBEL / BRING THE NOISE
“This next song… Is my new single which drops tonight!”
*The crowd cheered*
“And I hope you guys like it! This is Teenage Rebel / Bring the Noise.”
*George sat down on the floor and pulled a can of Coca Cola out from his sweater. He started drinking it and singing some of the lyrics. He sang them acapella, sounding partially drunk but very odd in a good way.”
*The beat heavily came in, filled with percussion and rhythm. George began to rap real good as he just laid down on the floor. The lights dimmed a bit and the back-up singers laughed, giggled and gasped in the background at some points of the song. His final lines echoed out as an electro-transition came in*
*The lights began flashing different colors as George got up*
“Who’s ready to bring the noise - BITCH!”
*He began to rap a bit dancing with two back-ups and then he hit the chorus. George was going in hard on choreography and had a bit of a beat breakdown. He sang the remainder of the song, serving excellent choreography and sounding very spunky. The performance ended with a blackout in the lighting*
DIRTY LOVE (WITH KE$HA)
“Hope you had fun Animal$ I had a ****ing blast! Now — it’s time to bring out the one y’all REALLY paid for…”
*The lights remained pitch black as the fans were cheering very hard for the arrival of Ke$ha*
“KE$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!”
*The fans cheered as Ke$ha came out and Dirty Love started playing*
“George, are you a true Animal?!?!”
“Of course I am!”
“Then you’ll know this song — sing it!”
*Ke$ha began to sing her verse of Dirty Love and she eyed George like some magical was going to happen. They sang the chorus together as they strutted around stage. George then sang Iggy Pop’s verse, doing it very quirky and nervous but smiling and still having a rough vocal. They sang the second vocal together while jumping around and doing some cute little choreography. The bridge was done very sassily, with both of them talking and screaming the lyrics out. The final chorus they both held hands and ran into the crowd stage diving. They got back on stage a minute later and they hugged*
“Love you Ke$ha! Love you guys! THANKSSS!”

Washington Post Interview
You've acheived lots of success in 2013 and now 2014. We know you did but did anyone else think you wouldn't reach this world success you have
Yes actually. When I was still Sweden based and I was signing deals elsewhere, labels were scared to take a chance with me because there were plenty of young guy phenomenons at the time. But the big break came last and this year.
Do you fear comparisons?
No matter what you do there will be comparisons. I don't pay mind to them at all. As long as you compare me to someone who is respectable.
The album has been quite a success for you. How many goals have you acheived with this album?
Oddly most people thought going #1 was a goal for me for the album but it wasn't really. That was probably my label's goal but I told them if it doesn't go number one that I'd make sure the album would be good and make it do decent at least. But it went #1, the second single went #1. I'm proud of those things but none of those were goals. My only goal for this album was for it show my growth as an artist, get it out everywhere and tour it. I acheived everything I wanted to with this album.
The tour is going practically everywhere. What country are you most excited to visit?
I'm really excited to tour South Korea, Japan, North America, and South America. I feel the fans there will be really hype.
Saade performed 'Can't Please Everbody' and 'Sophistication' for them acoustically and it was uploaded on Washington Post's website.
