This might be a really stupid question but why can't the house just be equal parts Democrat and Republican? Why does it get to be a majority of republicans? how is that fair?
That's not how democracy works. The whole purpose of the House was for more representation of the states (especially the smaller ones). The problem is turnout for Democrats.
