This whole Get Up thing is so weird to me. I'm so confused. Does RCA not realize you can download it for free? It's front pager on Kelly's website too. I wonder how Pepsi feels about this.

Why would Pepsi care though? It's not like they're selling the song, they're allowing free downloads. So they're not making any money off it either way. If Pepsi were trying to do an exclusive purchase download so they profit off it and THEN RCA went and put it up on iTunes, that would be a problem. But that's not the case. This is just another way to get the song out there so I'm sure Pepsi is fine with that.

From a business perspective, I can see why they put it on sale.

Yes, it's free, but only till Feb. RCA could have waited till it's no longer available on Pepsi's site, but the season will be over by then and they'd miss out on that train.

Who knows? Maybe the Cowboys will continue to use it after this season? I know they play the song at home games. Even if it's just Cowboys fans that are interested that's still an audience of potential buyers. Best to put it on sale while it's being used and if the Cowboys continue to use it next season it'll still be available on itunes, amazon, etc.

Good point. Maybe it will become a Cowboys staple and see a spike in sales ever football season. Making more sense now. Of course N&S always showing us the way.

and about the promo in Aus thing, she won't do it mid tour. There's loads of time to promo during its release, it doesn't take long. Pink went accross the US to Europe straight to Aus all within a month might as well wait til the album comes out
