I just did the math based on this week's Hot 100 between GYC vs WYMB.

#3. GYC = 209 sales + 106 airplay + 66 streaming = 381 points (64m airplay lead, 5k streaming lead)

#4. WMYB = 294 sales + 42 airplay + 61 streaming = 397 points (85k sales lead)

The only way GYC could still be ahead of WMYB is if Billboard changed the formula so that sales count less relative to airplay (both songs had nearly identical streaming points).

"What Makes You Beautiful" and "Call Me Maybe" on the other hand are great songs IMO. IDK why but for some strange reason CMM reminds me of "A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carlton and that song smashed hard 10 years ago exactly.

I mean, I don't hate Bieber at all, tbh. I really just don't see how "Swaggie" is supposed to be more mature than his earlier work.

That being said, I would just prefer that he went number one with a song other than this. I simply have no love for it myself. It's my least favorite song in the top 11 right now (since Glee is in the top ten I extended it to include what would really be there in its place XD)

Some of the lyrics of Boyfriend may not be more mature than his previous songs, but the sound of the song as a whole definitely is. Unless Justin Timberlake's music isn't more mature than Justin's early music, since as everyone's said, it sounds very similar to JT.
