Probably in Adele case piracy will not be big issue, but it can delay actual purchase (in my case I bought 21 like 3 months after I was hooked by it ![blush](images/smilies/images/smilies/blush.gif) )
Well about first sales for me enough is that she would debut 300+K in UK (1xP) and 500+K in US. I don't expect 'Red' like debut in US, after all her main buying audience is of that kind who made her biggest selling week in US one year after album release and after 3 singes. Well in short she should not worry about 80% second week drops.

at you having an illegal copy .....let me get the FBI on this POP EMERGENCY ....
But I think it would be quite weird to say in at least her sales won't be frontloaded this time . Yes that's not how her last album achieved success, but at the time people didn't know this going to be one the best(selling

) album of all time so they just didn't jump on it and buy it. Also it wasn't a follow up to a hugely successful album so they weren't a lot of people waiting for it like now and also with that album as time went on people realised how good it was and then bought eventually (* cough*
![eli's_rhythm](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/atrlers/eli_zps0932edf9.gif)
). So sales will be 700k at the least US(because she's done that number before) and 400k at the least in UK .

Even Norah Jones had a million first week seller and she was nowhere near as popular as Adele, especially after she took her break.
Album sales are down but I think everyone at this point knows that doesn't apply to Adele.
1.5-2 million first week really won't be that big of a stretch. ESPECIALLY if she performs the single at the Grammys and the album is up for pre-order shortly after. It would be really dumb of her team not take advantage of the Grammys.

This is part of what I was trying to say. Nearly all follow ups to albums as successful as '21' have over 1mil sales.
