Shania is the kind of artist you need to be reminded about. She's definitely memorable and so is her music, but she's not someone who would first come to mind when you think of music legends.

That's mostly because she's stayed stayed out of the public eye over the years.

I just meant her career was to short for her to reach legendary status. I'd still say she's iconic and has had huge impact. People use words like legend too loosely.

Britney had an incredible debut that deemed her the staple pop star, but ever since then it's been a downward spiral for her. Beyoncé worked her way up up from DC to solo and beyond Britney in virtually every other aspect. Hence why FF and BJ combined still aint touchin 4's sales. DC was also spewng more #1 hits than Britney was at the time, if singles are still going to be your one and only fixation here.

Not only did her 4 albums sell like crazy... (Her albums have sold 20m ww, 40m ww, and 20m ww, respectively, (poor Beyonce, poor Adele, poor Lana)), she's the only woman to have 3 consecutive diamond albums (including one double diamond), and her hits are some of the best known songs of the past 2 decades.

I mean how many weddings do you think have had "You're Still The One"?
